About Me

Hi, I’m Joey, the owner of Out South Bookkeeping.

By day, I’m a software engineer in the tax industry, but I’ve always had a passion for small businesses and gig work. For the past few years, I’ve run my own car and travel trailer rental business, and through that experience I saw firsthand how confusing and stressful bookkeeping and taxes can be when you’re running everything yourself.

Out South Bookkeeping was created to help people in that exact position — solo business owners and gig workers who want clear, simple bookkeeping without feeling overwhelmed or judged.

I combine technical know-how, hands-on tax preparation experience, and real-world small business experience to help you stay organized, understand your numbers, and feel prepared when tax time comes around.
