Survivor Speakout is a two-hour educational, victim impact panel pursuant to Indiana Code IC 9-30-14 designed to prevent people from driving impaired by any means. That includes alcohol, illegal drugs, prescription drugs or a combination of any of those. Anyone convicted of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in Indiana is court ordered to attend a victim impact panel. Anyone convicted in any Indiana county, or on a diversion program, may attend Survivor Speakout and will be given a letter as proof of attendance.
