I am using Outlook desktop app. Since today it is not possible to sent mails for hotmail.com or outlook.de email accounts. For an web.de account it is possible to sent mails using Outlook desktop app. By using the web UI I can sent mails from my hotmail account.

It is the Send button and the From Button. You mentioned, that you did a repair. In my case Repair button is disabled for hotmail.com and outlook.de acounts. So I tried to delete and add the account in my Outlook app. But that does not change anything. I also disabled all Add-Ins.

Using Outlook gives you the opportunity to access many different types of email accounts from one place. If you have a Microsoft email account that ends in @outlook.com, @live.com, @hotmail.com, or @msn.com, follow the steps given to add your account to Outlook 2016 and Outlook 2013 or to Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007

Although Microsoft currently supports only Outlook 2007 versions 12.0.6680.5000 and later, you can use a supported or an unsupported version to access your email account. Using a supported version gives you full access to your Microsoft personal email account, which includes access to your email, calendar, and contacts. Using an unsupported version gives you access to the email in your account, but you won't be able to get to your calendar, contacts, or tasks.

If possible, update Outlook 2007 to a supported version. To do this, go to Step 2: Update Outlook 2007 if your current version is unsupported. This is the best approach if your current version is unsupported, because it will give you full access to your email account.

If you can't update Outlook 2007 to a supported version, for example because a policy of your organization doesn't allow it, go to Step 3: Start the new-account setup process. This path will give you access to your email, but you won't be able to get to your calendar, contacts, and tasks.

In the Add New E-mail Account - Auto Account Setup dialog box, in the Your Name box, enter your name or a friendly name or nickname. This is the sender name that recipients of your email messages will see.

For Incoming mail server, enter the text that is shown for "Server address" in IMAP4 settings for your Microsoft personal email account. The address that is shown there might be imap-mail.outlook.com.

For Incoming server (IMAP), in the text box, enter the port number that is shown in IMAP4 settings for your Microsoft personal email account, which might be 993, and select This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).

If the port number that you enter in this case isn't available, you might get an error message when Outlook 2007 tries to connect to your email account. If you get an error message about this, come back to the Advanced tab in the Internet E-mail Settings dialog box and enter the other port number (25 or 587).

I am having a problem where when I use quick reply and hit the Delete, the email I am working on is deleted. What I am expecting is for some of the text to be deleted, as in older Outlook or any other text editor.

Just in case anyone else experienced this...there is a setting in Outlook 2013 that you can uncheck to fix not only the issue of the Delete key deleting emails but also the inability to use CTRL+C to copy text from emails.

Try rebooting, then open Outlook and reverse the above and reboot again. When you re-open Outlook this last time this behavior is fixed. It seems to be caused by setting changes that are caused by updates being pushed, but that are not persisted to user selectable check boxes, so you don't have any indication the settings apply. This is a workaround fix that returns the functionality to be able to delete text in Outlook without having the original email deleted.

I also had this problem with Outlook (windows 8). The email would disappear from my Inbox but would be retained in my Sent box as part of my reply, even though my intent was to retain the original email in my Inbox. To cure the problem, I:1. When I selected "Show messages individually" the original message remained in my Inbox after I reply or forward.

On a laptop that's domain joined and email address to domaina.com vs. a desktop that is in a workgroup and outlook is set for an email address on domainb.com. Both are on a lan separate from the LAN / network that the domain joined PC is joined to (so it's using local firewall as DNS server).

in the 15.0 version of that path, the only thing in the autodiscover folder is another folder - RedirectServer. In there are some autodiscover addresses - autodiscover-s.outlook.com, autodiscover.ourdomainname.com; autodiscover-s.outlook.de, etc.

This is a domain joined laptop that hasn't been on the company LAN for a year or more and not connected to the LAN via VPN or similar. I think this laptop was set up back when exchange was onsite and this would connect to the inhouse server over the web. But now we are using m365 for the exchange server and this laptop connects to m365 for mail. Not sure how I changed it from going to the inhouse server to m365. Likely deleted the old entry in the outlook profile and added the email again. so i'd think it; would go direct to the web to do autodiscover. Like the other picture of a workgroup desktop connecting to a different tenant with a much shorter autodiscover process.

Hi, I have just activated the Synch modules for both Gmail and Outlook, but although the integrations are active, all of my contacts are actually not being imported into my HubSpot platform because it claims the contacts do not have email addresses (which is not correct). Is there a policy on Gmail and Outlook not wanting to share the email address when synching with HubSpot or is there some way aroudn this glitch to not have to do it by hand (ie export the contacts on Gmail and Outlook, and then load them manually into HubSpot)? Hi Karsten, Thanks so much for your prompt reply to my question, apologies for me delay replying back. I read through the pointers you provided and that is the weird thing, I actually did follow those same steps advised to synch my contacts on both Gmail and Outlook into my HubSpot account. Nevertheless, on Gmail the synch advised that 500+ contacts were not imported because the system could not find an email associated to these contacts (which is trully odd, how else could they be contacts of mine in the first place right?), and then on Outlook it simply advised that no contacts were found even elegible to import (which is also very weird). What do you think about this? Maybe something I have to toggle on the side of Gmail or Outlook to permit the access to my contacts email addresses? I searched the web but could not find any pointers on this. Will appreciate your advise. All the best, and thanks again! ff782bc1db
