About the city of Utrecht

History

We are very excited to welcome you to Utrecht this year, a beautiful medieval city in the centre of the Netherlands. Utrecht first started as a roman settlement 50 years B.C. and in the 12 century became a full fletched city. Now the 4th biggest city of the Netherlands, Utrecht is a major hub for education, literature, and business. Nevertheless, walking around around the 'singel', the old city mote, one stumbles from one historic highlight to the other. Below, a selection of some sights that might be worth visiting during your stay. More information here.
