Becoming an Academy

How to fill in a simple form and not panic during the process. Please check all the boxes, you are never going to be 'committed' to buying resources or spending any money. Please ensure that you add 'Open University Academy Incubator' to the additional information.

Connecting your academy to the OU ASC

Make sure that you specifically search for "The Open University" - also email us to make sure we are aware that you have completed this step, so that we can log in and approve your connection.

Creating a class on the netacad system - step 1 of 3

This short demonstration - shows how you can create a class, while the example is for Linux Essentials - the same is true for any of the other courses. Make sure that you think about who you will be sharing the class with as well as the name of the class you are creating.

Publishing a class on the Netacad System - Step 2 of 3

Once the class has been created, you will need to publish this class. Many teachers forget to complete this step and wonder why their students are unable to see the course content within their own profiles.

You can either add students one at a time, or upload them via a CSV file.
