User-Provided Information (Your Photos): The core function of our App is to transform your photos into anime-style artwork. To do this, we require access to your photo library so you can select and upload a photo. We do not access your photos or camera without your explicit permission. The photos you choose to upload are the primary data we process.
Purchase Information: If you choose to subscribe to OtakuLens PRO, we process your purchase information through our third-party subscription management service, RevenueCat. This may include purchase history and subscription status. We do not collect or store your payment information, such as credit card details. This information is handled directly by the App Store.
Automatically Collected Information (Usage Data): We may collect anonymous data about your interaction with the App, such as device type, operating system version, and general usage statistics. This helps us understand how our App is being used so we can improve the user experience. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide the Core Service: Your uploaded photos are sent to our third-party AI image processing service, Replicate, to generate the anime-style artwork.
To Manage Your Subscription: We use RevenueCat to manage your OtakuLens PRO subscription, verify purchases, and unlock PRO features.
To Improve Our App: We analyze anonymous usage data to identify bugs, understand feature popularity, and enhance the overall performance and usability of the App.
To Provide Support: If you contact us for support, we may use your information to assist you.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your information with the following third-party services to provide the App's functionality:
Replicate (AI Image Processing): The photos you upload are sent to Replicate's servers for the sole purpose of AI-based image transformation. The images are processed by their service and are subject to Replicate's own privacy policy and terms of service. We do not store your uploaded photos on our own servers.
RevenueCat (Subscription Management): We share purchase-related information with RevenueCat to validate and manage your subscription status. This is handled through an anonymous user ID.
Apple (App Store): All payments are processed by Apple through their In-App Purchase system.
4. Data Retention and Security
Uploaded Photos: We do not store the original photos you upload on our servers. They are sent directly to Replicate for processing and are deleted from their systems according to their data retention policies.
Generated Images: The anime-style images you create are automatically saved to a private archive located locally on your own device. You have full control over this archive and can delete images at any time. These images are not uploaded or stored on our servers.
Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the information transmitted through our App, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Privacy Rights
You have control over your data. You can access and delete the images stored in the App's archive at any time. You can revoke photo library access at any time through your device's Settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
