Most importantly, I'm the father of 4 children, an older brother and triplets (1 girl and 2 boys).
I also have a side hustle, which is modelling. Go to my personal portfolio or to my portfolio at my agency Modellink if you want to see more of me in front of the camera.
My research interests are broad, but on the methodological side my main focus is spatial statistics/applied stochastic geometry, with a particular focus on point processes (or generalised random samples as I like to call them). On the application side, I have been working on medical applications, forestry and climate extremes, to name a few examples.
I currently serve as editorial board member of Spatial Statistics and as associate editor for Journal of Agricultural, Biological and Environmental Statistics (JABES).
