JOB PURPOSE
- The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all warehouse operations including Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Finished Goods ( FG), Spare Parts, WIP and Distribution activities to ensure inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, food safety compliance, and uninterrupted support for manufacturing. The role also overseas finished goods transfer operations from the factory to external and distribution warehouses, as well as warehouse execution for export shipments.
- The position acts as a key bridge between Logistics and Factory Operations, ensuring warehouse activities are aligned with production requirements, company objectives, GMP, FSSC 22000, food safety standards, and Otsuka operational excellence principles.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Warehouse Operations Management
- Manage overall warehouse operations for Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Finished Goods, WIP, Supplies and Spare Parts.
- Ensure efficient receiving, storage, material issuance, picking, staging and dispatch processes.
- Plan and optimize warehouse capacity, manpower and equipment to support operational requirements.
2. Inventory & Warehouse Control
- Maintain inventory accuracy, stock integrity and traceability across physical inventory and SAP/ERP records.
- Control FIFO/FEFO, batch/lot, shelf life, stock status and inventory aging.
- Lead cycle counts and annual physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
3. Production & Business Support
- Ensure uninterrupted and timely material supply to production.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Planning, Procurement and Logistics teams to support production schedules, domestic distribution and business requirements.
4. People Management
- Lead, coach and develop warehouse supervisors, operators and outsourced manpower.
- Set KPIs, allocate responsibilities, evaluate performance and ensure adequate backup for critical warehouse activities.
- Build team capability, accountability, safety awareness and a continuous improvement culture.
5. Compliance, Food Safety & Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, FSSC 22000, food safety, hygiene, HSE and company requirements.
- Maintain warehouse conditions, product traceability and operational practices to protect product quality and food safety.
- Ensure audit readiness and timely corrective actions for warehouse-related findings.
6. Asset, Budget, Cost & Performance Management
- Manage warehouse resources, assets, equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance, safe operation and effective utilization.
- Support warehouse budget planning and manage operating expenses against approved budget.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, productivity and cost performance; identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.
7. Continuous Improvement & Digitalization
- Lead Kaizen and warehouse improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity and cost efficiency.
- Drive process standardization, digitalization and data-based management through SAP/ERP, WMS, and other relevant systems.
8. Finished Goods Transfer & Export Coordination
- Coordinate approved finished goods transfers between the factory warehouse and external storage facilities.
- Manage warehouse activities for finished goods export, including export stock preparation, staging, container stuffing and cargo handover.
- Ensure on-time execution, inventory accuracy, product traceability, documentation and proper handover for domestic transfers and export shipments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Male > 35 years old
Education Background
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Experience Needed
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse or factory logistics experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in food and beverage or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in RM/PM/FG warehousing, production supply, inventory control, internal material movement, FG transfer coordination and outsourced workforce management.
- Working knowledge of SAP/ERP; WMS or TMS experience is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of warehouse requirements under GMP, GWP, HACCP and FSSC 22000, food safety, hygiene is preferred.
- Working time: Monday to Saturday - 08:00 – 17:00
Skill Needed
- Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience managing third-party manpower/service providers and working with transporters/external partners.
- Good analytical and reporting skills; proficient in MS Office. Power BI/Power Apps is an advantage.
- Good English communication skills ((listening, speaking, reading, writing)
- Willing to work at the factory and support operational requirements outside normal working hours when necessary.
- Good health; ability to work independently and as part of a teamteam.
