Our aim is
We aim to maintain a respectful, safe, and productive environment in all community spaces. Moderation ensures that discussions remain welcoming and constructive for every member.
As the community grows, trusted individuals may be assigned as moderators.
Moderators are responsible for guiding discussions, enforcing rules, and issuing warnings when needed.
Only the Administrator (Otto Brinkmeier, “Cody”) has the authority to suspend or ban members.
Promote positive engagement by encouraging respectful, constructive participation.
Address issues early when rules are being bent or conflicts arise.
Act fairly and impartially, treating all members equally.
Communicate clearly when addressing misconduct, explaining what rule was violated and what behaviour is expected.
Warnings may be issued for violations of the community Code of Conduct or Terms and Conditions.
Levels of Warnings:
Verbal Warning (Soft Warning):
For minor issues (e.g., off-topic posts, mild disagreements). A polite reminder of the rules is sufficient.
For repeated or more serious issues (e.g., disrespect, unauthorized self-promotion). A written message should explain the rule broken and note that continued misconduct may result in stricter measures.
For serious or ongoing violations. The member should be informed that their conduct is unacceptable, and the matter must be reported to the Administrator.
If an issue requires suspension or banning, moderators must escalate the case to the Administrator with:
A written summary of the incident
Copies of relevant posts or screenshots
Record of any prior warnings
Only the Administrator may decide on suspension or banning.
Off-topic or spam: Soft warning, reminder to stay relevant.
Harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate behaviour: Formal warning and immediate escalation to Administrator.
Repeated violations: Final warning and escalation.
Disagreements between members: Mediate respectfully and remind parties of group rules.
Unauthorized promotions: Remind member that approval is required. Issue warning if repeated.
Only the Administrator may suspend or ban members.
Before making a decision, the Administrator will:
Review the evidence submitted
Communicate with the member if necessary
Determine appropriate action (suspension, ban, or other measures)
Moderators must:
Lead by example by following all rules.
Remain respectful and professional at all times.
Avoid misuse of authority, personal bias, or conflicts of interest.
Moderators will periodically review community activity with the Administrator to assess behaviour trends, refine guidelines, and improve moderation practices.
This policy is intended to protect the integrity of the community and ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants. Members and moderators alike are encouraged to seek clarification from the Administrator if uncertain about any issue.
