1. Overview
OsteoGauge is a local-first tool for viewing lower-limb images and recording manual measurements. This policy explains how the App handles information on your device and the choices available to you.
OsteoGauge is not an account, cloud-storage, patient-record, or care-management service. Do not enter or export personal or protected health information unless you are authorized to do so and have applied the safeguards required by applicable law and your organization.
### 2. Information processed on your device
When you choose to use the relevant App features, OsteoGauge may process on your device:
- images selected from your photo library or captured with your camera;
- landmark locations, manual annotations, measurement type, and measurement results; and
- when you save a measurement locally, the annotated image, measurement result, measurement type or plane, a record identifier, and the date and time the record was created.
Images can contain personal or health information. Before using an image, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use it and, where appropriate, that it has been de-identified.
### 3. No collection by the provider
The current version of OsteoGauge does not provide accounts, a provider-operated server, cloud synchronization, analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not transmit the images, annotations, measurement results, or locally saved records described above to [LEGAL ENTITY] or to analytics, advertising, or other third-party partners.
Information that is processed only on your device is not accessible to [LEGAL ENTITY] through the App.
### 4. Local storage and deletion
If you select **Save measurement locally**, OsteoGauge saves the annotated image and its associated measurement record in the App's private storage on your device. The record remains there until you delete it in **Saved Measurements** or remove the App.
Deleting a saved measurement removes the associated record and image from OsteoGauge's private storage. Removing the App generally removes its private local storage. Copies you have separately exported, shared, backed up, or saved outside the App are not controlled by OsteoGauge and must be managed at their destination.
### 5. Camera and photo-library access
The App requests camera access only when you choose to capture an image, and photo-library access only when you choose to select an image. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
### 6. Export and sharing
OsteoGauge can prepare an annotated image or a PDF measurement record when you choose an export action. The App presents the iOS or iPadOS system share sheet. An item leaves the App only when you select a destination and complete that system action.
The recipient, transmission, and subsequent handling of an exported item are determined by the destination you choose. Review the privacy practices and safeguards of that destination before sharing any image or measurement record.
### 7. Security
Locally saved information is stored in the App's private device storage and is subject to the security controls of your device and operating system. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode and follow your organization's policies for handling health-related information.
### 8. Your choices
You can choose not to grant camera or photo-library permission, delete saved measurements in the App, remove the App, and control an export before completing it in the system share sheet. Because [LEGAL ENTITY] does not receive your locally processed information through the App, it cannot retrieve or delete local records for you remotely.
### 9. Children
OsteoGauge is intended for trained users and is not directed to children.
### 10. Changes to this policy
If we change how OsteoGauge handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date before the changed practice takes effect.
