Our Folklore Dancers
Our Folklore was founded in 1978 and strives to continue sharing our Portuguese Culture. We are very proud to be a part of a Community where we can show our Ethnicity by celebrating Cultural events. We are proud participants of the Toronto Portugal Parade inaugurating Portugal Day with other Portuguese Cultural Clubs.
A big thank you to the ACAPO in recognizing us with a special recognition this year.
Our Folklore group takes part in one of Oshawa's biggest Cultural Events known as Fiesta Week where pavilions representing cultures from all around the world celebrate and showcase their individual culture. At this year’s Fiesta, we congratulated our dancers on their award for "Best Children's Participation".
Our Folklore Dancers are well known for their fast footwork and fast paced dances displaying a fun and high energy performance. The dancers range from the ages of 2 and up are supported by a group of dedicated coaches that always strive to see everyone's potential. In every performance we seek to keep our dances and culture alive.
