On 28 June Open Science Community Eindhoven hosted an online kick-off meeting. The community was founded in 2018 by the former PhD student Stephan Heunis and now, after a long break, the community relaunched again.
The goal of the kick-off was not only to openly discuss the transition to Open Science but also to brainstorm researchers' interests for future OSC/e meetups. We welcomed 17 participants, both researchers and research support specialists who actively participated in the discussion and raised important questions and topics surrounding open science practices.
For brainstorming, we used Miro — whiteboard collaborative tool. Among other topics, researchers would like to learn more about the reproducibility of code, open data for qualitative methods and best practices for sharing data. In future meetups, we will host experience sharing and open discussion sessions.
