Since 2019, we have built the Data Foundry platform specifically for data design needs and open data prototyping in design. The platform allows for easy data collection, even in complex prototyping scenarios, safe data processing and storage, and lots of possibilities to visualise, share and prototype with data, from education to research. Last year, we received NWO TDCC-NES bottleneck funding for project ODeDaI, which aims to enhance the Data Foundry platform and to transition it to open-source. The project focuses on preparing Data Foundry for open-source release, integrating with partner institutions, and creating a foundation for future communication and community-building. In this talk, we will introduce the platform and talk what has been achieved so far.
Lena Karvovskaya from TDCC-NES will join to highlight the broader mission and vision of TDCC-NES. Beyond funding opportunities, she will share the many activities TDCC-NES organizes to bring together researchers and research support staff, showing how everyone can get involved.
