Omar Rafik Merad-Boudia received the Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tlemcen, Algeria, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from the same University in 2014. In December 2018, he was awarded the «Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches» (HDR) in Computer Science from the University of Oran 1, Algeria.

Omar Rafik Merad-Boudia is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oran 1 Ahmed Ben Bella, Algeria. He is also affiliated as a Researcher with LIO Laboratory at the University of Oran 1. His current research interests include applied cryptography and security in resource-constrained environments. He published his work in major IEEE conferences and renowned journals.
