I am a researcher and engineer interested in machine learning, computational imaging, computer vision, and optics.

I enjoy working on visual challenges at the intersection of human and machine perception. I am fascinated by the properties of light and by the ways we can manipulate it for scene capture and display.

Since January 2018, I am a Research Scientist in Google Mountain View. 

On June 2023 I joined YouTube as a tech lead for generating video with Gen-AI. 

Between 1/2018-6/2023 I worked in Google Research (Gcam team) on developing computational photography and computer vision algorithms for the Pixel camera and Photos. Notable projects I've worked on are Magic Eraser, Monocular Depth, Night sight (also presented in Siggraph Asia 2019), Astrophotography and Sky Optimization (presented in CVPRW in 2020).

Before working at Google, I completed a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. My PhD research at the de la Zerda lab focused on developing computational and optical tools for medical imaging with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). I defended my PhD on Dec. 2017. I was a teaching assistant for Computational Imaging and Display in 2016 and 2017, and I still give guest lectures every year (so far). I was featured on Stanford EE Spotlights.

In the summer of 2016 I completed the Stanford Ignite program (a program of the Graduate School of Business), in which my team and I created a business plan for a venture idea based on my PhD research.

At Stanford, I was active in the Women in Electrical Engineering (WEE) group and the Stanford's Optical Society.  I am also a Bio-X Bowes fellow.

During the summer of 2017, I interned at Apple in the camera software team and developed computational imaging algorithms for the iPhone camera.
