Michael Karthikeyan is a pizza delivery boy who lives with his girlfriend, Anu, an aspiring novelist researching material for a horror story. Michael does not believe in the supernatural but is afraid of anything paranormal. Anu keeps telling him that he will soon realise the presence of supernatural beings. At first, Michael is confused and scared, and his fears are confirmed when he discovers that a spirit possesses his boss, the Pizzeria owner Shanmugam's daughter.

Meanwhile, Anu becomes pregnant, and after a brief altercation, Michael and Anu get covertly married. One particular day, Michael goes out to deliver a pizza to a customer and returns to the restaurant in shock while covered in blood; he keeps muttering Anu's name, seemingly worried about her. When his boss questions him, Michael explains that he had been to deliver a pizza to a customer named Smitha in a bungalow and recounts the events at the place.

Smitha requests Michael to wait downstairs while she goes upstairs to get money for the pizza. Almost immediately, the power goes out, alarming Michael. While waiting downstairs, Michael hears a loud unidentifiable noise from the bedroom upstairs. Going up to investigate, he finds Smitha murdered suspiciously and notices a slice of pizza he had delivered is missing, suggesting that there may be somebody else in the house. Horrified, Michael dashes to the door only to realise it is locked from the outside.

Furthermore, when the murdered woman's husband Bobby arrives, he at first believes he stumbles upon his wife having an affair. Through his cellphone, Michael communicates with Bobby and explains his situation thoroughly, instigating Bobby to aid him in getting out of the house. Moreover, Bobby suddenly disappears from the front entrance and is found by Michael inside the house, mysteriously murdered in the same room as his wife, with two slices of pizza now missing. Also, Michael encounters the couple's child "Nithya", identical to the spirit's name allegedly possessing Shanmugam's daughter.

After the phone call, Michael goes to deliver a pizza to a house and encounters a series of events similar to the story he had narrated. Inside, he meets a girl identical to the "Nithya" described in his tale. Michael is locked inside the home with "Nithya" curiously looking at him. The lights then go out.

The short film director Karthik Subbaraj intended for Jigarthanda to be his feature debut; unable to obtain financing as he was untested in directing big budget films, he instead decided to make the much lower budget Pizza.[3] Originally, a story taking place predominantly within a house was planned; after the idea of including a pizza delivery man stuck in the house occurred to Karthik, he completed the script in 20 days. C. V. Kumar agreed to produce the film because he liked the script.[4] Vijay Sethupathi, when asked how he was cast in the lead role, replied, "I used to regularly leave my photographs in the film institute. I got to work with Karthik Subburaj in many of his short films and then he approached me for Pizza".[5] It is the first Tamil film to feature 7.1 surround sound.[6] Karthik has stated that some distributors wanted the climax changed as they were not impressed with the change in genre from horror to heist it depicted, but he refused as he considered it the film's high point.[7]

The room is a gritty, trash-filled, and dilapidated pizza place, seemingly called "Peppino's Pizza 2" based on the inverted window, which has a Peppino-like face making an Italian expression on it. The other thing to note is the giant wall mural of an amusing caricature of Peppino in a proper chef's suit holding a pizza and saying, "Nothing Compares!". As Peppino enters the boss fight, Fake Peppino turns around and makes a similar, but distorted "scared" scream.

This pizza is insanely delicious. It's walking distance from our office and I have now been here 3 times in less than two weeks. Probably it's greatest selling point is that you can get any of their pizzas by the slice. The pizza flavors are unique, and the slices are a nice big size. Great value!

In Naples, where modern pizza was invented, the traditional Neapolitan pizzas are the Margherita and the Marinara. Naples is still generally regarded as making the best pizzas in the world and it is somewhat of a mecca for pizza enthusiasts.

These pizzas are traditionally cooked in wood fired ovens that reach temperatures of up to 500C/950F and cook pizza in as little as 60 sconds! This helps to produce the flavour and charring that is typical to Neapolitan pizza.

Luckily, you can get smaller and more affordable wood fired ovens that can also reach 500C/950F and cook pizza in as little as 60 sconds! I have a pizza oven from a company called Ooni, these ovens make incredible Neapolitan style pizza!

Remember that with authentic Italian pizzas, less is more in terms of the toppings. This is true of most Italian cuisine. The ingredients are carefully chosen to compliment each other as well as possible.

Raffaele then called this pizza Margherita, after the Queen. If this is true, then we have Queen Margherita to thank for the popularity of pizza today. Also, many people think that Raffaele Esposito is the godfather of modern pizza.

Margherita in Italian translates as the daisy flower. This is perhaps not the most exciting theory, but maybe the pizza was named after the flower, due to its appearance. The white mozzarella cheese mimics the bright white petals of the daisy flower.

It is also claimed that the sailors would cook marinara pizzas while at sea, due to the ingredients being cheap and having a long shelf life. On a long voyage they could easily keep all the ingredients in good condition.

This is a little-known Neapolitan pizza that is thought to have originated in the 1840s when the Russian tsar Nicholas I visited Naples. He was very friendly with the Neapolitans and he donated two bronze statues which are still there, outside the palace of Naples.

Given this close relationship, the Neapolitans named a pizza after him, hence the name Pizza Cosacca. The Cosacca, or Cossack, was the name of the Russian and Ukranian state that the tsar ruled over at the time.

Like most Neapolitan pizzas, this one is very simple again. The authentic Italian toppings work so well together in this recipe. Using Parmesan instead of Mozzarella makes the Pizza Cossaca pack a punch and it has a much sharper taste than a Margherita.

This is one hot, devil of a pizza! In fact, Diavola translates as Devil in Italian. It is basically the authentic Italian version of a pepperoni pizza (except the Italians came up with it first).

The key topping in a Diavola Pizza is spicy Italian salami. There are many different types of salami and any can be used. If a milder salami is used, sometimes chillies are added to provide a bit of extra heat. This is supposed to be a fiery pizza after all!

While strictly speaking not a traditional pizza, Nduja is most certainly an authentic, traditional Italian product. For those of you not familiar with Nduja (pronounced en-doo-ya), it is a spicy, spreadable Italian salami.

Mozzarella cheese or Parmesan/Pecorino can be used for this pizza. I prefer using hard cheese for this pizza as the spiciness of the Nduja somewhat overpowers the delicate taste of Mozzarella. But experiment and use whichever you prefer.

Note that Nduja is typically very oily, even more so than regular salami. Be sure to use a lot less oil on the pizza then normal. I tend to just use a very small drizzle or none at all. You can always add some more after it has cooked.

Remember, when it comes to traditional Italian Neapolitan pizza, less is more in terms of the toppings. Focus on a few high quality toppings that compliment each other, whilst allowing the quality of the dough to shine.
