While OrginScanner itself does not collect your personal data, certain functionalities and third-party services integrated within the app may involve data processing:
Barcode / QR Code Content:
When you scan a barcode or QR code, the app processes this content locally on your device to display information or perform actions (e.g., connect to Wi-Fi, open a website).
For Product Lookup: If you use the app to look up product information, the barcode content (e.g., EAN/UPC number) is sent directly to free, publicly available external product databases and APIs (such as Open Food Facts) for lookup. This data is not sent to our (devdeu's) servers. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy policies of these third-party services.
Generated Barcode Data:
When you use the app to create a barcode or QR code (for text, contacts, Wi-Fi details, etc.), the data you input is used only to generate the code on your device. This data is not collected, stored, or transmitted by us.
Wi-Fi Connection via QR Code:
Scanning a Wi-Fi QR code uses the network details (SSID, password) contained within the code to facilitate a connection on your device. These details are not collected or stored by us.
Scan History:
The history of barcodes you have scanned or created is stored locally on your device only. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is fully managed by you within the app.
Google AdMob (for Advertising):
Our app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob, as a third-party advertising network, may collect and use certain device information (such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device type, operating system) and app usage data (e.g., ad impressions) to provide and personalize ads.
This data collection is handled by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not collect or control this data.
2. How Information is Used (by Third-Parties or Locally on Your Device):
To Provide Core App Functionality: Information (like barcode content) is processed locally on your device to enable scanning, barcode generation, product information retrieval (via external APIs), and Wi-Fi connection.
For Advertising: Google AdMob uses collected data to deliver relevant advertisements within the app.
App Improvement (General): While we don't collect personal data, general, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, crash reports from your device's operating system) may be used to improve the app's performance and stability.
3. Sharing of Information:
We do not share any of your personal information as we do not collect it. However, data is sent directly to the following third-party services from your device:
Google AdMob: For advertising purposes, as described above.
Free External Product Databases (e.g., Open Food Facts): For product information lookup. Your barcode content is sent directly to these services.

No Developer Servers: We do not operate servers that store any of your personal data.
Local Storage: Your scan history and generated barcode data are stored only on your device. You have full control over this data.
Security: While no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we implement reasonable measures within the app to protect information processed on your device.
5. Your Choices and Rights:
Managing Scan History: You can delete or manage your barcode history at any time from within the app.
Personalized Ads: You can control personalized advertising by adjusting the ad settings on your mobile device (usually within your device's Google settings).
App Permissions: You can review and modify the permissions granted to the app through your device's settings.
6. Children's Privacy:
OrginScanner is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take steps to remove such information.
