Most parents prefer books for very young students and choose to phase in the virtual curriculum as students become older. Although the majority or high school students use the virtual curriculum, books are available at the high school level as well. High schoolers can earn credit for work done independently, through an approval process.
Core online classes are provided by Edgenuity, with options on a per-student basis for Florida Virtual Schools and Calvert.
In addition, supplementary online subscriptions are available to providers such as MobyMax, Raz, Teaching Textbooks, etc.
There is one classroom at the school office in Sheridan, for occasional groups and science labs. Attending these is optional.
For those interested, our school offers in-person labs, field trips, and Outdoor School experiences. There are at least four field trips scheduled per year.

Students who are enrolled in online courses are required to log in and complete work for a minimum number of hours each day. Students who are not working online must still work the same amount of time as the students who are working online. However, they are required to submit documentation of their completed work to their teacher at the end of each week. The teacher and parent communicate to ensure that appropriate progress is being made on the learning goals.
SBAC annually, plus progress monitoring assessments several times per year. The SBAC is administered at centralized locations in groups. For remote students or those who need a private test environment, a teacher will travel to them.
Registration is available on the web site. All students who submit a completed registration form are entered into the lottery for enrollment. The lottery is conducted several times throughout the school year to fill available spaces.
