RAC Database Installation

1. As oracle user, navigate to oracle database software location and execute runInstaller

Uncheck security updates option and click on Next

2. Select Install database software only and click on next

3. Installer picks both the nodes automatically for rac database installation, click next

4. By default English language will be selected, click next

5. Select enterprise edition and click next

6. Specify the locations for Oracle Home and Oracle Base and click next

Click yes if an error - Oracle home is outside of oracle base appears

7. Select OS DBA and OSOPER groups and click next

8. Ensure that there are no errors during pre-requisite checks. I received an error regarding SSH connectivity but ssh connectivity exists, so I ignored the error

9. Save response file and click on next

10. Run root.sh on node1 and node2

11. Ensure that the installation of database was successful
