I am having a boilerplate text that should be printed on bottom of the last page of the report. But report builder wouldn't let me have the "print object on" property to "last" due to the reason suggested here: -functional/oracle-apps-l/error-while-setting-one-frame-property-to-last-page-914513The solution/workaround seems to be there in a link in that page but it isn't displayed by the site it seems. If someone has a workaround please help me out here.

The Apache OpenOffice 3.4 can work with ORB 1.2.1rev2, excluding charts. The charts graphical layer is changed in in AOO 3.4 and not changes in report builder, as consequence the reports with charts no more runs. It gives error "Failed to parse report."

Having read the other comments I thought I'd give it a go anyway ... waste of time. Have a Mac OS X 10.6.2. Installed the extension and then both the report builder and report wizard would both just give me an Add Field window (appeared and disappeared) with one field in it. Nothing to do with report building at all. So sadly disabled the extension and now I only have the wizard to play with. Oh well ... all I want to do is take out the header and add some fields as titles to my reports ... :(

I have installed the report builder and am somewhat satisfied with it. The main irritant is the placement of the Report Header/Footer. When you ask to insert them they are placed above and below the Detail section and there is no way to move them. This structures the report from top to bottom as: Page Header, Report Header, Detail, Report Footer, Page Footer. The Report Header/Footer and Page Header/Footer function as labeled; they are just in the wrong place on the page. The developers at Sun are aware of this issue and have chosen to not fix it. Even though the report builder functions reasonably well I am somewhat put off by the fact that Sun refuses to address a functionality issue that has been presented by more than one user.

Once you are able to connect with Oracle DB Server using SQL Developer you are confirmed about server connection parameters.

Warning: In order to access Oracle DB via Report Builder you need to install Oracle Client 11g for Windows if it is not there already. Otherwise you will get error roughly saying that Report Builder cannot connect with Oracle DB.

There are following pre-requisite steps to enable report builder to connect with Oracle DB.

Open the report builder tool tag_hash_107 Use the report wizard tag_hash_108 OK tag_hash_109 Next tag_hash_110 Create both Web and Paper layout tag_hash_111 Next tag_hash_112 Style - Tabular tag_hash_113Next tag_hash_114SQL Query tag_hash_115 Data Source definition - select * from emp; tag_hash_116 Next tag_hash_117 provide username, password and database tag_hash_118 Connect tag_hash_119 Move all the columns from Available Fields to Displayed Fields tag_hash_120Next tag_hash_121 Next tag_hash_122 Next tag_hash_123 Predefined Template - Blue tag_hash_124 Next tag_hash_125 Finish

Let us now experience BEFORE PARAMETER FORM and AFTER PARAMETER FORM triggers.

Open the report builder tool tag_hash_126 Use the report wizard tag_hash_127 OK tag_hash_128 Next tag_hash_129 Create both Web and Paper layout tag_hash_130 Next tag_hash_131 Style - Tabular tag_hash_132 Next tag_hash_133 SQL Query tag_hash_134 Data Source definition - select * from emp where deptno = :deptno ; tag_hash_135 Next tag_hash_136 provide username, password and database tag_hash_137 Connect tag_hash_138 Move all the columns from Available Fields to Displayed Fields tag_hash_139 Next tag_hash_140 Next tag_hash_141 Next tag_hash_142 Predefined Template - Blue tag_hash_143 Next tag_hash_144 Finish

In General, User Exits are 3GL programs used to transfer the control from the report builder to Oracle Applications or any and where it will perform desired actions and return to the report builder.

There are five types of user exits and are listed below.1. FND SRWINIT2. FND SRWEXIT3. FND FORMAT_CURRENCY4. FND FLEXSQL5. FND FLEXIDVAL

FND SRWINIT: Used to write in before report trigger. It is used to fetch the concurrent request information and also used to set the profile options.

FND SRWEXIT: We will write this in after report trigger. Used to free the memory whichhas been allocated by the other user exits

FND FORMAT_CURRENCY: This is used to convert amounts or currency from one currency to other currency values and also used to display currency amounts in formats. SRW.USER_EXIT ('FND FORMAT_CURRENCY', Code = 'currency_code', Display_width= 'DISPLAY FEILD WIDTH', Amount = ':SOURCE_COLUMN_NAME', Display = ':DISPLAY_COLUMN_NAME' );

FND FLEXSQL: This is used to get the data from flex fields. We will use in formula columns. _05/html/comnls/us/fnd/srwffa03.htmtag_hash_145

FND FLEXIDVAL: This is used to get the data from flex fields. We will use them in formula columns. _05/html/comnls/us/fnd/srwffa04.htmtag_hash_146

Note:1. We use the User Exits in the Report triggers like before report, after report, before parameter form, after parameter form.2. We have to create a mandatory parameter called P_CONC_REQUEST_ID when we work with FND SRWINIT, FND SRWEXIT.3. The user exits are case sensitive we have to write them in capital letters only otherwise they will raise an error.

I have installed the 32 bit of ODAC on my laptop. The installer gave me the option for machine wide level but not GAC something (The option was not there. It used to be there). I can connect Power BI desktop to the Oracle Database but not report builder.

4- Go to this article below. For your laptop / work computer, install 32 bit and 64 but execute the command lines for managed 32 and unmanged 64. I had report builder (32bit uses managed) and Power BI Desktop (64 bit uses Unmanged). e24fc04721
