The inaugural edition of this Open Quantum Systems in Chemistry (OQSiC) workshop aims to connect the Italian scientific community engaged in the theoretical and experimental study of open quantum systems, particularly within chemical contexts. This event seeks to foster collaboration among researchers exploring the dynamics of quantum systems interacting with their environments, a subject pivotal to understanding phenomena such as energy transfer, decoherence, quantum control in molecular systems and others effects.
OQSiC 2025 aspires to establish a dedicated Italian discussion group focused on open quantum systems in chemistry, providing a platform for sharing insights, methodologies, and fostering new research directions. The workshop will feature invited presentations complemented by open discussion sessions, encouraging the exchange of ideas and the development of collaborative projects.
The workshop will cover a range of topics, including but not limited to:
Two-Dimensional Electronic Spectroscopy (2DES)
Excitation Energy Transfer in Molecular Systems
Nanoplasmonics
Non-Markovian Dynamics in Complex Environments
Quantum Dynamics and Decoherence
Quantum Optics with applications in Chemistry
Quantum Simulations
X-ray Spectroscopies
This first edition of OQSiC is limited to invited contribution from experts in the field, with the goal of opening to the entire community in the next editions.
The accommodation for all participants, as well as lunches during the workshop and the social dinner, will be fully covered by the organization.
Welcome to Trieste!
