Lightwave and Quantum System Lab

We have been interested in engineering topics related to photonics systems utilizing signal processing and machine learning technique. Our research group emphasizes very much the importance of embodying the ideas with hands-on experiments. Our group seeks ways to realize quantum communications and quantum computing based on photons. Below are our target research topics:

• Fiber-optic communication system (for data-center interconnects and passive optical networks)

• Free-space optics communication system for satellite communication

• Image transmission system implemented on multi-mode fiber 

• Quantum communication including quantum key distribution (QKD)
