Year End 2018/2019

Welcome to OPIRG McMaster!

Since 1995 OPIRG McMaster has been a resource for students identifying and taking action on public interest issues. We create a safe environment to work with others to challenge yourself to work on real issues and challenge the existing order where it is shown wanting.

In the reports section of this site you will find a full report from our seven Public Interest Projects and more background on how we work and seek to constantly improve.

We hope you will support what we do, and take an active role with us.

How do students get involved with OPIRG McMaster?

General Volunteers

The general volunteer category was developed to allow more opportunities for students outside of Public Interest Projects, and has developed into a flexible and integral aspect of OPIRG's work since 2010

Public Interest Projects

The most common method for student engagement with public interest issue advocacy, Public Interest Projects (previously known as Working Groups) drive OPIRG's mission in small teams with a focus on specific issue

Board of Directors

Elected each year at our Annual General Meeting, undergraduate volunteers form the governing body bound by OPIRG's Constitution and policies.
