OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING
with JAVA - 1BCS302
2026-27 ODD
2026-27 ODD
The course covers important object-oriented concepts such as classes, objects, methods, constructors, method overloading, recursion, access control, static and final members, nested and inner classes, inheritance, method overriding, dynamic method dispatch, abstract classes, packages, and interfaces. It also introduces advanced programming concepts including exception handling and multithreaded programming, enabling students to develop reliable and concurrent Java applications.
The course further emphasizes the practical application of Java through enumerations, type wrappers, autoboxing/unboxing, and generics. Students learn to design, develop, and debug Java programs using suitable Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tools. Through programming exercises and laboratory activities, students develop object-oriented thinking, programming, problem-solving, debugging, and software development skills required to apply Java programming concepts in real-world application development.
