This Privacy Policy describes how Onpa handles your information when you use the app. Onpa operates primarily on your device and does not collect, store, or share your personal data externally, except as required for the built-in Android SpeechRecognizer service.
By using Onpa, you agree to the handling of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation
The words with the initial letter capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Account: A unique account or profile created within the app for personalization purposes.
Application: Refers to Onpa, the conversation assistance and sound awareness app.
Company: (referred to as "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to Onpa.

Types of Data Stored
Personal Data
The only personal data stored within Onpa is optional, such as your display name or preferences you set inside the app.
Usage Data
Usage Data consists only of the phrases you explicitly save in the app for faster conversation.
This data is stored locally on your device.
It is never shared externally.
Use of Your Data
The Company may use your locally stored data to:
Provide and maintain the app: Ensuring smooth functionality, conversation assistance, and sound detection.
Manage your account locally: Including your optional display name and saved phrases.
Notify you: Onpa may send local notifications stored on your device for reminders or alerts.
Sharing of Your Data
All data, including Speech To Text transcripts, YAMNet sound detection, and app preferences, is stored locally within the app. We do not collect or transmit this data externally.
The Android SpeechRecognizer may send audio to Google servers for recognition if required, according to Android’s default implementation. Onpa does not store or access this data.
Retention of Your Data
Your data remains on your device as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling Onpa will delete all app data from your device.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request assistance in deleting Personal Data stored within Onpa.
Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app will remove all information, including optional display names, Speech To Text transcripts, sound detection events, and preferences.

Security of Your Data
Onpa keeps your data securely within the app and does not transmit it externally. While the app does not use encryption for local storage, we recommend using general device security practices, such as device locks, to keep your data safe. Absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's Privacy
Onpa is intended for users age 13 and up. If you believe your child under 13 has provided data within the app, please contact us for guidance on data removal.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes take effect when posted.
