One Word Story is developed and operated by JollyJus. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the One Word Story mobile application.
One Word Story does not require users to provide a real name, email address, password, phone number, or other direct contact information in order to play.
When the app starts, it may use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create an anonymous account identifier for the user. This identifier is used to support app functionality and associate game activity with the same anonymous player.
Users may choose a public username. The username does not need to be the user's real name.
The app may store information generated through gameplay, including:
chosen username;
anonymous user identifier;
words or stories submitted by the user;
reactions, votes, or other interactions with stories;
gameplay-related information necessary to operate the service.
Words, stories, usernames, and other content submitted through One Word Story may be visible to other users of the app.
Users should not submit personal information that they do not want to make public.
One Word Story uses Google Firebase services to provide features such as anonymous authentication and online data storage.
Firebase may process technical information necessary to provide these services. Firebase is operated by Google and is subject to Google's applicable privacy practices.
Information collected through One Word Story is used to:
operate the game;
identify anonymous players within the game;
display user-created stories and usernames;
save gameplay activity;
provide reactions, voting, and other community features;
maintain and improve the reliability and safety of the service.
We do not sell users' personal information.
Gameplay data may be retained for as long as necessary to operate One Word Story, maintain community features, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Users may request deletion of data associated with their anonymous account.

Include your in-game username and, if available, any player ID shown inside the app so that the correct anonymous account can be located.
We may need enough information to identify the relevant anonymous account before its associated data can be deleted.
One Word Story is not intended to collect personal information from children. Users should avoid entering real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or other personal information into usernames or user-generated stories.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect information stored through the service. However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, its features, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted at the same public location with a revised effective date.
Child Safety Standards for One Word Story
One Word Story, operated by JollyJus, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Users must not create, submit, share, encourage, solicit, or otherwise distribute content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of children.
Users can report inappropriate user-generated content through the reporting features available within One Word Story. Reports involving potential child sexual abuse or exploitation will be reviewed and appropriate action may be taken, including removal of content and restriction of users responsible for violations.
One Word Story complies with applicable child-safety laws. Where required by applicable law, confirmed child sexual abuse material will be reported to the appropriate regional or national authorities.
One Word Story:
prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation and CSAM;
allows users to report such content in-app;
removes/acts on violating content and users;
reports confirmed CSAM to the appropriate authorities where required;
