I'm trying to install Onedrive on Windows Server 2012, I see that this is obviously still possible as shown here however after reading many forums and articles telling me to download the Deferred Ring version: 21.230.1107.0004 , I cannot find this version anymore and the versions available today do not allow the server to accept Onedrive still giving me the same error showing that it must be Windows 10 or Windows 11. If somebody has a link to this version, it would be a huge help for troubleshooting, or if there is another version available today that will work on the 2012 R2 server, that would be great as well.

This does not need to work for a long time, we are in the process of moving our files over from the server to our Onedrive so any other ideas to access the onedrive file from the server would also be accepted. We will be using Allway Sync to move the files.

Although it is easy to drag files to OneDrive folder, it is still a lot of trouble to manually put files as data change quite frequently. If you use OneDrive for Business sync, it is even more troublesome as data changes more frequently. So, is there any way to setup OneDrive to automatically sync server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022?

The only drawback is that you can only use AOMEI Backupper Server on severs. If you want to protect unlimited PCs and servers within your company, you may choose AOMEI Backupper Technician Plus. It offers unlimited billable technical services to clients. It also enables you to copy installation directory for portable version creation.

In a project for one of our customers we used Microsoft OneDrive for data synchronisation. The data gets collected on a tablet and the folder containing the data will be synchronized with OneDrive. On the other side there is a Windows Server that needs to move the data from OneDrive to a network drive. To get the data from OneDrive I installed the OneDrive Client Version 2016 (Build 17.3.6943.0625) on the Server. Furthermore I created a scheduled task that executes a PowerShell script to copy the files from the synchronized OneDrive folder to the network drive. Unfortunately OneDrive only runs synchronization if the user, the OneDrive client was installed with, is logged in to Windows. As the user does not log in to the server regularly and because there is no possibilty to reconfigure OneDrive to allow synchronization even if the user is not logged in, I had to find a way to regularly synchronize the OneDrive folder. After a few tries I succeeded by creating a scheduled task that starts and stops OneDrive.exe on a given schedule.

I have two Windows Server 2012 computers. For backup, I use the included Server Backup running daily to generate system images onto a local hard drive. At this point, I have around 400GB of data overall. However, I'm worried that if my office is ever broken into, I'd lose everything - my servers and my data.

So, I plan to use a cloud service to backup my server. My current Office 365 subscription gives me 1TB of OneDrive storage. Can I backup my Windows Server to OneDrive directly? If I can, how to do that? I appropriate any opinion you can provide or experience you can share with me on this!

OneDrive has released a desktop app for users to sync OneDrive and Windows Server 2012 (R2), Windows Server 2016, etc. After installing this app, OneDrive will create a sync folder on your local computer. This folder will be synced in both directions, meaning if you add any files to this location on your server, they will be added to your OneDrive server automatically, and vice versa.

Similar to a problem I experienced with TurboTax 2011 during an attempt to connect to their online payment servers, the Windows Skydrive application appears to be having an issue with connecting to the Live servers after I install the program. Having successfully installed it before, I know that the application should prompt me to log in after install, but instead, I am given a blank white window. I hit F5 a few times suspecting that this frame is actually an embedded browser window, and I saw a brief flash of a message about broken JavaScript support. I saw the same thing happen with TurboTax, which also appeared to prompt me with an embedded browser, but I am at a loss as to how to get around this issue. ff782bc1db
