If you want a permanent, space-saving mounting solution that keeps your spare tire secure and off the floor for an ATV or enclosed trailer, choose ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare; if you need a portable, weather-resistant bag to carry a loose tire or protect it from dust while on the move, choose Shophubio Spare Tire Cover.
• ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare: Its biggest strength is the robust 8-hole mounting design that eliminates wobble and maximizes vertical storage in tight spaces like cargo vans or garages; its trade-off is that it requires drilling into a wall or frame and does not offer portability. This pick is for owners who want a fixed, heavy-duty rack to organize their workspace.
• Shophubio Spare Tire Cover: Its biggest strength is its flexibility as a soft-sided tote with an adjustable strap system and integrated handle for easy transport of loose wheels; its trade-off is that it offers no structural support or storage capacity beyond the tire itself and relies entirely on external carrying. This pick is for drivers who need to move tires between vehicles or store them loosely without installing hardware.
For ATV owners and anyone managing a cluttered cargo area, the ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare Tire Holder is designed to solve the specific problem of wasted floor space. When you toss a spare tire onto the ground of a trailer, box truck, or garage, it becomes an obstacle. You constantly have to shuffle it around just to load other gear, and unsecured tires can roll dangerously across the floor. This product transforms that chaos by lifting the tire off the ground and securing it vertically against a wall. The result is a cleaner environment where every inch of floor space remains available for actual cargo rather than being occupied by a rolling rubber circle.
The engineering behind this mount addresses stability issues found in cheaper alternatives. Many standard mounts feature only four mounting holes, which often leads to wobbling when a heavy tire is attached. The ONAGAD unit utilizes a unique eight-hole design that significantly increases stability and load-bearing capacity. This isn't just about holding weight; it is about preventing the tire from shifting or vibrating during transit, which could damage the tire or the surrounding items in your vehicle. The mounting plate is widened to 2.4 inches, providing a solid base that resists deformation under stress.
Durability is another critical factor for anyone living or working in harsh conditions. Constructed from thicker high-density steel, this carrier is built to withstand tough weather without bending or warping. The black powder-coating finish acts as a shield against corrosion and rust, ensuring the mount lasts through seasons of exposure to moisture and road salt. The kit includes drywall anchors, screws, and self-tapping screws, making installation feasible for various surfaces like drywall in a garage or metal frames in an enclosed trailer. It is a permanent fixture that demands a bit of effort to install but pays off in long-term organization and safety. If you are an ATV owner looking to free up space in your utility vehicle or trailer, this is the tool that turns a messy back end into a professional-grade storage zone.

The Shophubio Spare Tire Cover serves a completely different purpose: it is a protective shell for tires that are not permanently mounted. While some buyers might look for a way to secure a tire to a vehicle, this product is designed for those who need to transport a spare wheel or keep it clean while it sits loosely in a trunk, bed, or garage. The cover functions as a durable tote bag, crafted from S-190T Polyester taffeta for smaller sizes or L-210T Polyester taffeta for larger ones. These materials are selected specifically for their ability to resist tearing and provide long-lasting performance against everyday wear and tear.
One of the most practical features here is the adjustable sizing mechanism. With straps located on both sides, the cover can be tightened or loosened to fit wheels ranging from 13 to 23 inches, though the specific model data highlights compatibility for 13 to 18-inch wheels. This adjustability ensures a secure fit that prevents the cover from slipping off during movement. Unlike a rigid mount, this bag moves with you. It allows you to grab a spare tire, zip it into the bag, and haul it effortlessly thanks to the integrated handle. This makes it ideal for situations where you need to swap tires between different vehicles or take a spare wheel to a shop for repair.
Protection is the core value proposition of this item. By encasing the tire in polyester taffeta, you create a barrier against dust, dirt, mud, and UV elements. Over time, exposure to these elements can degrade rubber, so keeping a spare tire covered extends its lifespan and ensures it is ready for use when you actually need it. It is versatile enough for SUVs, business cars, small cars, and vans, making it a universal accessory for drivers who prioritize cleanliness and portability over fixed installation. If your workflow involves moving tires frequently or storing them in an open area where they would otherwise collect debris, this cover provides a simple, effective shield without requiring any tools or installation.
• Best for Fixed Installation and Space Saving → ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare (Mounts directly to walls to clear floor space).
• Best for Portability and Transport → Shophubio Spare Tire Cover (Includes a handle for easy carrying of loose tires).
• Best for Heavy-Duty Stability → ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare (Eight-hole design prevents wobble better than standard 4-hole mounts).
• Best for Dust and Element Protection → Shophubio Spare Tire Cover (Encloses the tire fully to block dirt and UV rays).
• Best for ATVs and Enclosed Trailers → ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare (Designed to secure tires in cargo boxes and prevent rolling hazards).
• Best for Quick Swaps Between Vehicles → Shophubio Spare Tire Cover (No drilling required; just slide the tire in and go).
• Best for Weather Resistance → ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare (Powder-coated steel resists rust and corrosion better than fabric).
• Best for Minimalist Storage → Shophubio Spare Tire Cover (Soft profile fits into tight trunks without taking up rigid volume).
After weighing the specs and intended use cases, I would choose the ONAGAD Wall Mount Spare for my own setup. As an ATV owner, having a dedicated, non-moving storage solution is far more valuable than a temporary cover. The eight-hole mounting system gives me confidence that the tire won't shift or rattle while I am driving on rough terrain, and the steel construction means it will last for years without degrading. The Shophubio cover is excellent for protection and transport, but it cannot replace the organizational power of a wall-mounted rack. For anyone serious about maximizing the utility of their cargo space and keeping their spare tire safe and secure, the ONAGAD mount is the superior investment.
Yes, the ONAGAD mount is designed to accommodate most automobile, ATV, and trailer tires and rims, utilizing a flexible bolt system that supports different lengths.
The cover is adjustable via side straps, but the specific data sheet confirms compatibility for wheels ranging from 13 to 18 inches, so very large truck tires may require checking the specific size constraints.
Installation requires basic hardware included in the kit such as drywall anchors and screws, along with a wrench or hand tightening to secure the wing nuts, but no specialized machinery is needed.
The polyester taffeta material is designed to protect against dust, dirt, and general elements, offering a layer of defense against moisture, though it is not a sealed waterproof container.
