There has been a request to create a restriction on certain students' iPads to prevent them from disrupting the class. This looks, to me, like a student behavior issue and not a technology problem. Even so, I will like to see if this is possible. The teacher setup is as follows: Teachers connect their MacBooks to the projector via HDMI to teach the class. Here is the issue: students can start "Screen Mirroring" (to the teacher's MacBook) from their iPads triggering the "Join" code to overtake the class screen and interrupt the class. I will assume that if something can be done it will take a "Configuration Profile" scoped to the incurring student's iPads in order to block the Screen Mirroring from being available on the iPad. I have only found some restrictions for "Airplay incoming requests" and "AirDrop", but, none do the trick. Let me know your thoughts!

And another idea, you could disable Airplay for the students by adding an ipad Profile > Airplay > Only known AirPlay destinations will be available to the device (supervised only) ON - and leave the destinations empty.

The primary purpose of the Student Affairs TV Screen system is to promote events, programs, and services sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh departments and certified student organizations that enable Pitt students to fully engage in campus life.

OCC Logo: While our office will design promotional materials for Student Affairs staff, any student organization or department outside of the division who wants to utilize the OCC goal area icons on their marketing materials should adhere to the following guidelines:

According to CareSource program director Sheryl-Anne Murray, sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death for student-athletes across the nation, and these screenings are especially important at HBCUs because Black athletes are disproportionately at risk.

The horizontal digital screens in Armstrong is a partnership between the Armstrong Student Center and Campus Services. There are 14 digital screen locations where your student organization or university department can advertise for upcoming events or services. The Armstrong Student Center does not permit posting of event posters on walls, tables, or windows; the two best ways to advertise in the building are through table tents in the dining locations, or our digital screens.

Student Organizations that are advertising their organization, or promoting an event that is defined as free and open to all, can advertise on the Armstrong Student Center half screens for free. If a student organization is advertising an event that charges admission/ticketing, or is promoting an event designed as a fundraiser, the student organization will be charged $25/week for half screens in ASC only or $175 for full screens in Armstrong and all 90 digital screens owned by Campus Services). Note: Student Organizations advertising their organization, or free and open to all events, only receive free screen privileges in Armstrong - to receive access to the 90 screens owned by Campus Services, Student Organizations will need to pay the listed price.

University Departments/Colleges will be charged $175/week for advertising in Armstrong on the full-screen digital screens. This price includes Armstrong screens and all 90 screens owned by Campus Services.

Armstrong Student Center also has two vertical banner screens located in front of the Harry T. Wilks Theater. Because of their unique orientation and sizing dimensions, advertisement on these screens is maintained separately from the joint ASC/Campus Services horizontal digital screens. Posting to these screens is limited to Miami Activities and Programming (MAP) events, Friday Night movie series, organization events taking place in the theater, or Armstrong Administration use.

To submit ads for approval on the vertical Wilks Theater screens, e-mail Hannah Muldoon-Davis (muldooh@MiamiOH.edu) your advertisement in .jpg format and include the dates you want the advertisement to run (including start and end dates).

The Armstrong Student Center enhances student learning through opportunities for community and campus engagement and serves as a safe and inclusive gathering place for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

I just noticed that the Student View option is no longer on the right side of the Home screen. Would it be possible to put it there again? It is very beneficial because I use that button frequently to show my students how to complete and submit work. I did find the Student View option although now, it is somewhat cumbersome to get to. You now have to hit settings on the bottom left and then click on student view. Thank you for looking into this for me.

Instructure recently pushed out an update to Canvas that moved the button for Student View on the home page to the top and made it an icon button. It looks like a pair of glasses. Also, it's now available on many other pages so that you don't have to go to the home page to turn it on. At least, as long as the page is published for student view.

Securly Classroom sends a request to devices for a screen update about once every 10 seconds. However, if the device has recently been restarted or asleep, it may take up to 2 minutes for it to begin responding to requests.

This student is excluded from the class can appear when a student was deselected before the class was started, or because their device connected to Securly Classroom but was detected on an outside (non-school) IP address, which typically means they are absent from school and connecting from home or elsewhere. This automatic exclusion from class based on IP address is an optional setting configured in the System submenu under Settings.

Device online browser not opened will appear when a student is in the class, but their device has not yet connected to Securly Classroom. This state can also appear when a student is viewing an empty tab.

Although various studies have assessed performance of athletes on the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and the Y Balance Test (YBT), no study to date has directly evaluated a comparison of performance between athletes and members of the general population. Thus, to better understand the application of the FMS and the YBT to general college students, this study examined whether or not general college students performed similarly to student-athletes on the FMS (composite and movement pattern scores) and the YBT (composite and reach directions). This study evaluated 167 Division I student-athletes and 103 general college students from the same university on the FMS and the YBT. No difference was found in FMS composite scores between student-athletes and general college students. For FMS movement patterns, female student-athletes scored higher than general college students in the deep squat. No difference was found for men in any FMS movement pattern. Female student-athletes scored higher than female general college students in YBT composite scores; no difference was found for men in YBT composite scores. In analysis of YBT reach directions, female student-athletes scored higher than female general college students in all reach directions, whereas no difference was found in men. Existing research on the FMS composite score in athletic populations may apply to a general college population for the purposes of preparticipation screening, injury prediction, etc. Existing research on the YBT in male athletic populations is expected to apply equally to general college males for the purposes of preparticipation screening, injury prediction, etc.

The instructor can choose to end the exhibit or temporarily suspend it. The Suspend feature can toggle on/off. While suspended, the instructor and/or student can prepare a new demonstration in the background. The previously exhibited screen remains on the other student(s) screens until the exhibit is resumed. 2351a5e196
