1. Data We Do Not Collect

OmniTune X does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII).

There are no analytics services, crash reporting SDKs, advertising networks, tracking technologies, or third-party data collection mechanisms embedded in this application.

The app operates fully offline and does not transmit any user data to external servers.

2. Microphone Access

OmniTune X requests microphone permission exclusively for real-time pitch detection within the Tuner module.

Audio input is processed entirely on-device using the Android AudioRecord API.

No audio is recorded, stored, transmitted, or shared. The microphone is used solely for live signal processing.

3. Local Storage & User-Controlled Sharing 

The app stores only user preferences, presets, MIDI files, and configuration settings locally on the user’s device. These may include:  Theme settings, Metronome BPM, Custom tunings, User-defined configuration settings, ContiTuneX presets, Virtual Keyboard settings,  MIDI files created by the user and other program or user settings.

This data is stored locally on the user’s device and is used only to provide app functionality, restore user settings, and allow the user to access content they created.

Where applicable, this data may be stored using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences and/or Room Database.

All app data remains on the user’s device and is not transmitted externally by OmniTune X.

Users may choose to share a link to OmniTune X with friends so they can download the app from the official app store.

Users may also choose to share MIDI files created within the app with friends or other recipients, using third-party sharing applications or services available on their own device.

Such sharing actions are initiated and controlled by the user. OmniTune X and the developer do not control the selected sharing method, the recipients, or any use of the shared files after they leave the user’s device. 

4. Instrument & Drum Audio

All instrument sounds (including guitar, piano, metronome click, and drum sounds) are pre-bundled within the application package.

These sounds are derived from the Author creatio and also using FluidR3_GM soundfont (MIT License — gleitz/midi-js-soundfonts).

No audio files are downloaded, streamed, or fetched from external sources during runtime.

5. Internet Permission

This application does not request or require the INTERNET permission.

It does not establish network connections of any kind.

6. Children’s Privacy

OmniTune X does not collect personal data from any users, including children under the age of 13.

Since no personal information is collected, the app complies with child privacy standards under applicable regulations.

7. Changes to This Policy

If any future changes are made to this Privacy Policy, the updated version will be reflected within the application and this page, along with a revised "Last updated" date.
