MDL built-in paths (i.e OmniPBR.mdl, OmniPBR_ClearCoat.mdl, OmniSurface, nvidia/aux_definitions.mdl, nvidia/core_definitions.mdl, OmniUE4Base.mdl, etc.) will no longer be anchored to their referencing layer URL (i.e omniverse://nucleus-server/some/stage.usd or ). These MDL built-in paths will still resolve correctly if they live next to the referencing layer URL but that is completely handled by the client-library and not USD
Both had a blue label on the outside (3x5 label with serial# and part #). So this confirms what was stated on this forum about knowing which is good and not.Turns out my existing lights were same model just from 2014-2015 timeframe (no omniDirect) both were not working.
On May 25, 2011, the Firefox release manager wrote in an email "Firefox 5 will be the security update for Firefox 4," confirming Firefox 4 had entered its "end of life" phase where Mozilla will no longer issue updates. Mozilla continued to issue updates for Firefox 3.6 after 4's EOL declaration. Only one update (4.0.1) was issued for Firefox 4 during its lifetime. Many looking for a copy of this version 4 will be directed to version 6, which cannot run on PowerPC Macintoshes.[12]
One of the performance optimizations was moving all application data into a single file, omni.jar, using a new file format based on the Java Archive format(previous versions used multiple files in the Java Archive format).[34] For later versions the file was renamed omni.ja.[35][36]
Hi Thanks for your article.
The error in the UM is a Spaceprobe problem. This can be solve with an script from HPe. But this problem is fixed in 4.0.0 or 4.0.1 but i guess it 4.0.1.
But the UM is such a buggy SW incredible. Im struggling with the FW. I never saw that the UM updated the FW correctly. In my case he always skip the FW upgrade.
Hi Rene, thanks very much for your post. I am attempting to upgrade the OmniStack software on two SimpliVity clusters in a Federation from v3.7.8 to v4.0.1U1 using Upgrade Manager. I wanted to upgrade one cluster at a time so I selected the first cluster and it began upgrading the first OVC and got to around 95% complete when the process failed. I noticed that the OVC rebooted twice, so the second time must have been the rollback as you wrote above. If I attempt the CLI upgrade method, do I need to shut down or vMotion any VMs from the SimpliVity hosts before commencing? I also have compute-only hosts in each of my clusters, do I need to shut down/vMotion VMs off these hosts before commencing?
Regards, George.
