Dr. Omkar Gune

Welcome to my webpage!

I am Dr. Omkar Gune. I earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India under the supervision of Prof. Subhasis Chaudhuri and Prof. Biplab Banerjee. The title of my Ph.D. thesis is Novel Discriminative and Generative Methods for Zero-shot Learning in Visual Recognition.

Before joining Ph.D., I worked for three years in Samsung Research India Bangalore, India and Cisco Systems India Private Limited, Bangalore, India. Before that, I completed my Master of Technology from IIT Bombay in Communication and Signal Processing, under the supervision of Prof. Vikram Gadre. Earlier to that, I finished my Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra, India.
