If you want robust, military-grade protection for your Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds with a secure lock to prevent accidental openings on long journeys, choose Olytop Bose QuietComfort; if you need a transparent, magnetic case that supports wireless charging and offers easy clip-on access for active travel, choose LDSXAY Beats Powerbeats Pro.
• Olytop Bose QuietComfort: Delivers heavy-duty, two-piece military-grade armor with an integrated mechanical lock, making it ideal for travelers who prioritize absolute security over style.
• LDSXAY Beats Powerbeats Pro: Features a sleek, transparent hybrid design with strong magnetic closure and wireless charging compatibility, perfect for users who want visibility and quick access.
• Who is this for?: The Olytop pick suits the cautious flyer or commuter who wants their expensive electronics buried in shockproof material, while the LDSXAY option fits the active user who needs a case that stays attached to their bag and shows off the device logo.
The Olytop case is built for one primary purpose: survival. When you are navigating a crowded airport, dealing with overhead bins, or tossing gear into a backpack during a business trip, the last thing you want is your charging case sliding open and spilling out premium earbuds. This product addresses that fear head-on with its integrated locking mechanism. Unlike standard snap-on covers that rely solely on friction, the Olytop design includes a specific lock feature. This ensures that even if the case takes a hard tumble, the two separate pieces of the cover stay firmly mated.
This is not a slim, fashion-forward accessory. It is a rugged tool. The "Sports" pattern and the inclusion of a carabiner suggest it is meant to be clipped onto a belt loop or the strap of a carry-on bag so it never gets lost. The kit also comes with a 3-in-1 cleaning tool, which is a practical addition for frequent flyers who need to wipe down dust from the earbuds after a long flight before they put them back in the case. The case itself is opaque black, hiding the device inside completely. If you prefer a look that says "this is protected" rather than "look at my brand," this is the choice. It is specifically engineered for the Bose QuietComfort Ultra series (2nd Gen 2025), Ultra (2023), and QuietComfort Earbuds II (2022).

However, this level of protection comes with trade-offs. The case is heavier and bulkier than standard skins. You will notice the weight difference when carrying it in a pocket, though the carabiner mitigates this by allowing you to hang it from your bag instead. Furthermore, the opaque nature means you cannot see the status lights or the logo of your earbuds without removing the cover entirely. It is also worth noting that while it claims water resistance levels in general terms, the data specifies it is "Not Water Resistant" as a standalone unit, meaning you should still avoid submerging it. If you are looking for a sleek, minimal profile that blends into a suit pocket, this might feel too industrial. But if your priority is ensuring your Bose QuietComfort earbuds survive a rough journey, especially for flights where luggage handling can be unpredictable, this design excels.
On the other side of the aisle, the LDSXAY case for the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 takes a different approach. Instead of burying the device in opaque armor, this case embraces transparency. The design utilizes a hybrid material of polycarbonate and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) to create a shell that is both clear and durable. The standout feature here is the magnetic locking system. Four ultra-strong magnets snap the lid shut, providing a satisfying click and a secure seal that holds firm against drops and bumps. This magnetic closure is distinct from the mechanical latch found on the Olytop option, offering a different kind of tactile feedback that many users find convenient for one-handed operation.
The transparency serves a functional purpose beyond aesthetics. It allows you to keep the iconic Beats logo visible and lets you check the battery indicator lights through the case without fumbling to remove it. This is particularly useful if you are rushing to catch a connection and need to know your charge level instantly. The case also explicitly supports wireless charging, a critical feature for modern users who rely on Qi pads to top up their devices without plugging in cables. The orange color option adds a pop of vibrancy, but the clear cutouts ensure the branding remains the focal point. Like the Olytop version, it includes a carabiner and a multifunctional cleaning pen, acknowledging that these devices are often used in environments where dust and debris are common.
This product shines for users who value convenience and visibility. The anti-slip design ensures a firm grip, and the precise cutouts mean buttons and ports remain fully accessible. However, the reliance on magnets rather than a physical latch means the seal is dependent on the strength of those magnets holding the pieces together. While the description claims robust protection against damage, the transparent TPU/PC mix may show scuffs more readily than the solid black military-grade plastic of the competitor. It is also strictly compatible with the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 (2025 Released), so it will not fit older generations. If you are an athlete or a traveler who wants to clip your earbuds to your gym bag and have them ready to go with a single glance at the battery light, this transparent, magnetic solution is the superior choice.
• Best for maximum impact absorption → Olytop Bose QuietComfort, due to its military-grade, heavy-duty construction.
• Best for visual feedback and wireless charging → LDSXAY Beats Powerbeats Pro, thanks to its transparent shell and Qi compatibility.
• Best for securing the case mechanically → Olytop Bose QuietComfort, featuring a dedicated lock clip to prevent accidental opening.
• Best for magnetic convenience → LDSXAY Beats Powerbeats Pro, utilizing four strong magnets for a secure, snap-close lid.
• Best for visibility of device status → LDSXAY Beats Powerbeats Pro, allowing you to see logos and lights through the clear material.
• Best for hiding the device → Olytop Bose QuietComfort, offering a solid black, opaque finish.
• Best for active clipping → Both include carabiners, but LDSXAY's lighter, transparent build feels more natural for hanging on a gym bag, while Olytop's heavier build suits a backpack strap.
• Best for durability in rough handling → Olytop Bose QuietComfort, with its thicker, non-transparent enclosure designed for extreme wear and tear.
In my opinion, if I were buying a protective case specifically for flights, I would choose the Olytop Bose QuietComfort. The reality of air travel involves tight spaces, shifting luggage, and the constant risk of a zipper snagging or a bin dropping something heavy. The mechanical lock and the sheer density of the military-grade material provide a psychological safety net that a magnetic, transparent case simply cannot match. While the LDSXAY option is excellent for daily gym use or casual commuting where wireless charging and style matter most, the Olytop design prioritizes the absolute security of your investment. When you are thousands of feet in the air and miles from home, I prefer the peace of mind that comes from a case that locks shut and absorbs shock rather than one that relies on magnets and clear plastic.
Yes, the LDSXAY case is designed with a hybrid TPU and PC material that supports wireless charging, allowing you to charge your Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 without removing the cover.
The Olytop case features an integrated mechanical lock mechanism, whereas the LDSXAY case relies on magnetic attraction. For strict security against accidental opening, the Olytop lock is the stronger feature.
Both products include a 3-in-1 multifunctional cleaning kit containing a sponge, brush, and metal tip, along with a carabiner for attaching the case to bags or keys.
