Dec. 2025: Our paper "VR ProfiLens: User Profiling Risks in Consumer Virtual Reality Apps" was accepted for publication at the Symposium on Usable Security and Privacy (USEC) 2026, co-located with the NDSS Symposium 2026.
Sept. 2025: I was selected for the Division of Teaching Excellence & Innovation's (DTEI) Summer Graduate Scholars Fellowship Program. As the deliverable for this fellowship, I developed a GenAI Guide for CS Educators to assist UCI instructors, including guidance on GenAI for course development and assessment as well as on academic integrity and AI literacy.
July 2025: I was selected to receive the ICS Steckler Family Endowed Fellowship for 2025-2026. The focus of this fellowship is to support PhD students in UCI ICS whose research, teaching, and/or outreach and professional service activities reflect their commitment to promote computing to women.
May 2025: I was selected for the Division of Teaching Excellence & Innovation's (DTEI) Summer Graduate Scholars Fellowship Program, which focuses on campus-wide pedagogical change by both developing and improving existing courses through inclusive and equitable curriculum design.
Nov. 2024: Our paper DiffAudit: Auditing Privacy Practices of Online Services for Children and Adolescents has been awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the 2024 ACM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC)!
Aug. 2024: I have been selected as a 2024-2025 ARCS Scholar. Thank you to the ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Foundation and UCI Graduate Division for this honor.
July 2024: Our work, DiffAudit: Auditing Privacy Practices of Online Services for Children and Adolescents, has been accepted for publication in ACM IMC 2024. It was also accepted for presentation at the 6th Annual Symposium on Applications of Contextual Integrity (PrivaCI).
June 2024: I was an instructor for the ProperData 2024 Summer Program on Privacy, IoT & AI for high school students, in which the students built customized voice assistants using Raspberry Pi, ChatGPT, and Python programming.
June 2024: I presented a poster about our paper, "DiffAudit: Auditing Privacy Practices of Online Services for Children and Adolescents," at the 2024 Society of Graduate Electrical Engineers & Computer Scientists (GEECS) Technology Showcase at UCI and won 1st place in the Software/Algorithms track.
Apr. 2024: I received a student scholarship to attend the WiCyS 2024 Conference in Nashville, TN.
Aug. 2023: I received a scholarship to attend the GREPSEC VI Workshop, co-located with USENIX Security '23, in Anaheim, CA.
Apr. 2023: I was invited to attend the CRA-WP Grad Cohort for Women in San Francisco, CA.
Mar. 2023: I was awarded an Honorable Mention for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) competition, which honors intellectual merit and broader impact of my graduate research and service towards inclusive excellence in computer science and engineering.
Aug. 2022: I completed my Privacy Engineering Internship at Common Sense Media, during which I worked with the Privacy Program to advance their internal privacy policy evaluation machine learning system, consulted on and contributed to a research report about privacy of virtual reality, and trained to become a privacy policy evaluator.
