Welcome,
My name is Oliver Zier and I am currently an ITC Postdoc Fellow at Harvard University. I am working on simulation of reionization with the moving mesh code AREPO. Before, I was a postdoc at MIT in Mark Vogelsberger's group and finished in 2023 my PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics (MPA) in Garching, Germany. I was working with my supervisor Volker Springel on computer simulations of protoplanetary disks with the moving mesh code AREPO. I originally come from a small town in northern Bavaria called Wunsiedel and have obtained two Bachelor's degrees in Physics and computer science at the University of Bayreuth as well as a Master's degree in Mathematical & Theoretical Physics at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU).
On this website you can find out more about me and my research, enjoy :)
