Shachah is the Hebrew word for worship; to bow down and prostrate oneself.
Day 1- Shabach- shout praise
Definition: to shout, to address in a loud tone, to command triumph.
Scripture: “Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will [shabach] you.” -Psalm 63:3

Day 2- Barak- kneel in adoration
Definition: to kneel, to bless God as an act of adoration.
Scripture: “I will [barak] the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” -Psalm 34:1

Day 3- Yadah- lift your hands
Definition: to extend the hands in thanksgiving and praise. to surrender, to cast, to throw down.
Scripture: “I will give you thanks [yadah] in the great assembly; among the throngs I will praise you.”-Psalm 35:18

Day 4- Todah -lifted hands in thanksgiving
Definition: Thanksgiving, offering praise for things not yet received.
Scripture: “He who offers a sacrifice of [todah] honors me.”-Psalm 50:23

Day 5- Taqa -Clap and Proclaim
Definition: To clap, strike, or sound (hands or trumpet).
Scripture: “[Taqa] your hands, all peoples; shout to God with the voice of joy.” -Psalm 47:1

Day 6- Halal - Celebrate Wildly
Definition: To boast, rave, shine, to be clamorously foolish for God. Root word for hallelujah.
Scripture: “Let them [halal] his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp.” -Psalm 149:3

Day 7- Tehillah - Sing a New Song
Definition: A praise, song, or hymn of praise, often spontaneous.
Scripture: “You are holy, enthroned on the [tehillah] of Israel.” -Psalm 22:3

Day 8- Tephillah - Prayerful Worship
Definition: Prayer, intercession, hymn.
Scripture: “But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my [tephillah].

Day 9- Kara - Bow Down
Definition: To bow, bend the knee, or fall down in worship.
Scripture: “O come, let us worship and kara: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”-Psalm 95:6

Day 10- Zamar - Play and Sing with Instruments
Definition: To make music, sing praises with instruments. Make a holy atmosphere for God to enter.
