I came here to find solution to the IPhone 15 pro not scanning in the California Lottery App. I was changing options in the camera settings. When I changed ProRAW & Resolution control to on, I could suddenly scan consistently and get results. I turned it off to confirm that this was the problem, but now it scans for me. If someone can try this and confirm I would appreciate it.

I'm having the same problem. Moved from iPhone 8+ to iPhone 15 Pro Max. The image doesn't focus in the CA Lottery app when I try to scan the barcode on the new phones. It remains slightly fuzzy. I'm guessing it has something to do with the macro lens incompatibility with the app. I can't use the two-finger zoom option on my app. I called the apps technical support and was told to "Google it"...

Apparently it started happening with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. There are a lot of reviews regarding the same problem since the 14 came out. Quite a few videos on you tube for various state and national lottery apps. All videos are recommending the exact same steps. None worked for me. I'm hoping someone comes up with a work around. Not all the lottery apps have the ability to do the two-finger zoom and they don't appear inclined to update their apps to work with the newer phones.

We're not talking about RQ codes, we're talking about lottery bar scanners. Do you guys read what people say? I was on the phone with another issue with 5 senor techs. and not one of them could figure out what I was trying to do. You're phones lack list view options in the photos app and among many other things.

Have found it is a focus problem. Move the camera much father away then you did with your old phone and it should work. Have had problems with both lottery tickets and scan codes at the supermarket but distance seems to make it work. Have to say I 15 Pro Max has not impressed me!

I was moving the phone back and forth trying to find the sweet spot without any luck. But it seems I have found it. It started working (most of the time) yesterday for me. I still get error messages about 25% of the time, but I kept trying and I got it for all but two scans for scratchers and draw tickets. The app hasn't updated so I'm not sure what's changed. Seeing that other people were experiencing the same thing convinced me to stop checking manually and be persistent with the app.

To help us better assist you, can you let us know more about the situation? For example, are you trying to scan a QR code? Do you receive a specific error message? That information will help us proceed.

Ty! I received several Florida scratch off tickets this morning and. One of them would scan via the Florida Lottery app on my new iPhone 15 Pro. I changed the setting as you suggested and now it works perfect! Ty for saving Christmas! Haha

Today, 44 U.S. states feature a lottery of some kind, and millions of Americans love testing their luck. A lotto scanner can be found in thousands of gas stations and convenience stores. But what do you do when a glitch in the system says your winning ticket is a loser? In Oregon, that was the case this last July.

Lottery officials have specified that the glitch was caused by a scheduled maintenance in the software. The update caused a corrupted file in the system that forced the lottery scanner to display only losing tickets. Officials have also explained that issues of this nature are rare. Regular maintenance of your lotto ticket scanner can help prevent issues like this from recurring.

According to Senator Sara Gelser, the lottery officials should have taken the entire system offline when they discovered the malfunction. Gelser claims that leaving the lotto scanner machines running while knowing they were providing incorrect information was taking advantage of Oregonians.

In recent years, three-dimensional (3D) data has become increasingly available, in part as a result of significant technological progresses in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR). LiDAR provides longitude and latitude information delivered in conjunction with a GPS device, and elevation information generated by a pulse or phase laser scanner, which together provide an effective way of acquiring accurate 3D information of a terrestrial or manmade feature. The main advantages of LiDAR over conventional surveying methods lie in the high accuracy of the data and the relatively little time needed to scan large geographical areas. LiDAR scans provide a vast amount of data points that result in especially rich, complex point clouds. Spatial Information Systems (SISs) are critical to the hosting, querying, and analyzing of such spatial data sets. Feature-rich SISs have been well-documented. However, the implementation of support for 3D capabilities in such systems is only now being addressed. This paper analyzes shortcomings of current technology and discusses research efforts to provide support for the querying of 3D data records in SISs.
