Hello people. I came back to this forum after some months of inactivity to share my solution, and i hope it works for someone else.

This app (Oled saver) has been a saviour for my eyes. I don't experience any symptom when i'm using it. I know i said before i tried it and it didn't work, but this time i left enough time for my vision to recover and symptoms slowly began to fade away while this app was active. So if you tried it before and were expecting inmediate results, please give it a try again, at least a couple of days.

This app has disappeared from the Play Store, but you can download the APK (i think last version is 1.39). Give it all permissions and set Basic Physical Brightness to 255. And make sure it keeps running on the background at all times.

I'm using it on a Redmi Note 9S, so it doesn't matter if the screen is IPS or Amoled. This worked for me and i'm hoping it will help someone else.

My parents recently bought new phones and my dad's s10 was handed down to me and it has a discoloration issue (it has for a while that's why they got new ones) and I was looking to make it my new phone because it has bigger storage space and I've been looking around and it says to try oled saver.

This is a life saver. I was encountering the same issue and tried to follow the steps even when I hardly seeing the navigation. Did the problem recur? I'm anxious now that this will happen again. My phone's warranty just expired a month ago and its so frustrating to think that this issue happened after a month without warranty.

Just got this TV a couple days ago. Whenever I am watching over the air channels the screen saver comes on every few minutes. Sometimes it takes awhile for it to start happening, but when it starts it comes on every minute or two. Anybody know how to fix this issue??? I seen another post on the S95 having the same issue. I need to figure this out soon so I can take this thing back if I have to.

There is a good thread about this issue. It appears to have started around August after an update. After reading the thread and trying out some things, I've come to the conclusion that the issue is the ChatTogether app. It keeps installing and when not used, puts the TV in screen saver mode. I found when I see the popup on the right side of the screen to chat with others, it starts going into screen saver mode. I can go into apps and delete it and the issue will stop. However, the app automatically re-downloads itself, and it happens again. I see this behavior on live sports and NBC 1:00 p.m. (EST) news. I'm pretty sure this is the issue. However, Samsung is being closed-lipped about it.

I had this happen with my two-month-old 77" S90CLED. It would randomly go into screensaver regardless of the source - Live OTA TV, Netflix, Prime Video, or Firestick 4K Max. Once it started that, I could go back to the source by clicking the center button, but it would consistently go back to screensaver every 2 minutes.

Between these two, I have not had any further issues with screensaver interrupting my normal viewing. That was over the last two days, so I'm not ruling this a total fix until I go at least a week with no screensaver during active feeds.

I found that if you load the ChatTogethe app and just accept the Terms and Agreements that it fixes things. I think that is the issue. The app tries to load but can't because you haven't accepted the terms and then it quits, triggering the screensaver for some reason. Deleting the app just gets rid of it but it will reinstall and you'll be back where you began

For users, there is a Screen Saver option in Settings > General > Screen saver on/off, but this option is not provided on the OLED TVs. In the OLED TVs, Screen Saver always works except while playing a video in the full screen mode. Thank you.

ASUS OLED Care is a special screensaver, which significantly reduces the chances of OLED screen aging, and you can turn it on in MyASUS app. Here you can learn more about the Introduction of Customization in MyASUS.

judging review it appears that measurements of some that have DC-dimming function appear much more stable compared to oled as used by Samsung however unsure how stable the waveform of an oled display can be in contrast to LCD.

Samsung displays are one of the worst in terms of flicker. They even put these AMOLED displays on their most expensive smartphones (just like Google, of course), which have a PWM flicker frequency of 240 Hz.

So, I've demonstrated some kind of opportunity for GrapheneOS developers. I'm not sure if FlickerFree is possible, but it is still possible to add an option to reduce PWM, which would be good for the eyes. And the method of adjusting the brightness when the option is enabled, can be done as in the app OLED saver (ie overlaying a dark layer depending on the preferred level of brightness) Thus we will get an improvised DC Dimming. (by the way, smartphones with DC Dimming also have PWM, but less).

The steps to change the screen saver activation time on an Android TV model vary depending on the OS version. If you need to check the software version of your TV, refer to the article Find the model name, serial number, or software version of your TV.
