Withered Mushrooms are variants of nether cows, covered in Withered Fungus, they inhabit the Withered Forest biome.
Withered Mooshrooms can spawn in Withered Forest biomes in herds of 2–3 and on Withered Nylium.
Breeding
A pair of withered mooshrooms can breed after being given withered wheat. Feeding withered wheat to a baby withered mooshroom shortens its growing time by 10% of the remaining time. Baby withered mooshrooms do not have withered fungus on their backs. Withered Fungus appear once the baby grows to an adult.
Breeding

Shearing a withered mooshroom drops 5 withered fungus and turns into a normal cow, emitting a smaller version of the explosion particle. The withered fungus do not grow back. Like other baby animals, killing a baby mooshroom yields no items or experience.
Withered Mooshrooms have the same AI behavior as cows: they walk around slowly and aimlessly, huffing and mooing occasionally. They avoid danger such as cliffs, fire, or lava, but make no attempt to stay out of water.
A withered mooshroom follows a player holding withered wheat.
Milking
A withered mooshroom can be milked by using a bucket on it, yielding a milk bucket. Withered Mooshrooms can also be milked using bowls to get withered fungus stew (has 5 minutes cooldown).
