A pigman is an extinct neutral creature (or so it is believed). It wields a ruby or taaffeite sword, a crossbow or a bow, and uses melee or ranged attacks, respectively. It can even throw potions or drink.
It spawns naturally rarely in Pigman Villages, which you can only find in the Mushroom Savanna Biome (this biome belongs to another Alpha Livestock)
On Death
Ham: 0-1 (when killed by a player or tamed wolf)
Ruby Fragment: 0-1
Pigman Head: 2.5% (when killed by a player or tamed wolf)
Ruby: 2.5% chance (when killed by a player or tamed wolf)
XP: 5
Equipment
They naturally wield ruby, or taaffeite swords. They equip ruby and taaffeite armor respectively. They will always prioritize tools, swords and armor of a higher level, for example they equip diamond armor before iron armor.
The Pigmans attack all types of monsters except the following: creepers, piglins, zombie pigmans, zombie piglins, endermans, piggies, hoglins, hoglin brutes, piglin beasts, zombie pig, zombie hog and zombie piglets.
They do not attack players unless provoked. If a Wild Pigman is provoked it will become enraged and all Wild Pigmans will retaliate against the entity that attacked them.
Like villagers, evil pigmans can open and close wooden doors but cannot open fence gates, all trapdoors, and iron doors. They also cannot climb ladders.
Can float on water.
They can be cured by feeding them a carrot, golden carrot or a gilded carrot.
Zombification
After spending 15 seconds in the Nether, they become zombified, and will then transform into a Zombie Pigman. You can prevent their zombification by taming them.
If a Pigman dies fighting a zombie pigman, zombie piglin, zombie piggy, ancient zombie pigman, zombie pig, zombie hoglin, zombie piglin beast or zombie hog there is a 50% chance of being zombified (on the hard difficulty it is 100%)
If a Pigman dies while fighting a Wither-related entity, there is a 50% chance of withering away (on Hard difficulty it's 100%).
Taming
Piglans can be tamed by feeding them a ruby carrot, once tamed they will chase, protect and attack those who attack their owner.
When a Pigman is tamed it automatically acquires a random profession, similar to that of Villagers. Depending on the profession acquired, you can use different tools and offer trades.
A pigman can sit down if you are sneaking and interact with him, once you do that you must interact with him again to be able to sit him down.
Bartering
Pigman can barter ruby for certain items, when a ruby is dropped near them or the player uses it while looking at them. The pigman "examines" the ruby for eight seconds, then he drops a random item from the chart depending on his profession. Pigman can also pick up items dropped by a dispenser or dropper.
