Aggravation
Evil pigmans are neutral if the player is wearing at least one piece of ruby armor. Evil Pigmans are provoked by any player who:
Is not wearing any piece of ruby armor.
Short range, light aggravation
Attacks a evil pigman or evil pig, regardless if the player kills it in one hit or not.
Long range, heavy aggravation to the damaged evil pigman, medium aggravation to other evil pigmans.
Opens or breaks a chest, trapped chest, ender chest, shulker box, barrel, minecart with chest, or boat with chest.
Opening is short range, medium aggravation
Breaking is mid range, medium aggravation
Breaks a block of ruby, ruby ore, bloodstone ruby ore, nether ruby ore, or deepslate ruby ore.
Mid range, medium aggravation
Aggravation range
Short range: When a evil pigman has been aggravated by a player not wearing ruby armor, or opening a container, evil pigman from up to around 15 blocks centered around the player become aggravated by the player if there is a straight line of sight to the player.
Mid range: When a evil pigman has been aggravated by a player breaking a ruby block or a container, piglins from up to 16 blocks from the player’s feet become aggravated. No line of sight is required.
Long range: When a evil pigman has been aggravated by a player damaging a evil pigman or evil pig, evil pigmans from up to 20 blocks from the damaged evil pigman (rather than the player) become aggravated. No line of sight is required.
Light aggravation
Light aggravation occurs when a evil pigman has been aggravated by a player not wearing ruby armor.
The evil pigman can de-aggravate when the player puts on ruby armor, or the evil pigman loses a line of sight with the player.
Medium aggravation
Medium aggravation occurs when a evil pigman has been aggravated by a player opening/breaking a container or breaking a ruby block, or when a evil pigman witnesses a evil pig or another evil pigman getting damaged by a player.
A evil pigman already under light aggravation does not re-aggravate to medium aggravation. This means that if a evil pigman knows a player broke a ruby block near them after already going after them due to them not wearing ruby armor, the player can de-aggravate that evil pigman by putting on ruby armor or losing the line of sight despite the fact that the player broke the ruby block.
Heavy aggravation
Heavy aggravation occurs if a evil pig or evil pigman is damaged.
When provoked, piglins remain hostile for 25 seconds.
Evil Pigmans attack Iron Golems, Pigmans, Snow Golems. They are attacked by Iron Golems and Snow Golems.
