奈良公園のシンボル 若草山、標高342m、山全体が芝生に覆われています。 1月上旬の山焼きは奈良の代表的なイベントです。 冬の夜空に花火が舞い、山全体が真っ赤に浮かぶ幻想的な光景です。
The symbol of Nara Park, Mt. Wakakusa, altitude 342m, the whole mountain is covered with lawn. Yamayaki in early January is a representative event in Nara. It is a fantastic sight where fireworks flutter and the whole mountain floats red in the winter night sky.
3月上旬から行われる二月堂お水取り。夜は二月堂の舞台に竹で作られたお松明(たいまつ)が上がり。農耕を行う日本では年の初めに豊作を祈る祈年祭。

燈花会は夏開催。世界遺産 に囲まれた奈良公園一面にローソクを並べ、幻想的な雰囲気で奈良 における夏の風物詩 として定着しています。*当初ローソクは約1万本だったが、2019年 には約2万本を使用。
toukae is held in the summer. Candles were lined up all over Nara Park surrounded by world heritage, and in a fantastic atmosphere, it was established as a summer tradition in Nara. Initially it was about 10,000, but in 2019 it will use about 20,000.
正倉院は校倉造りの建物。皇室ゆかりの品を始め美術工芸品を多数収蔵。秋の季節に奈良国立博物館で収蔵品を展示するのが正倉院展。世界中の人が楽しみにしてます。
Shosoin is a azekurazukuri building. It houses a large number of arts and crafts, including those related to the Imperial Family. The Shosoin exhibition displays the collections at the Nara National Museum in autumn. People all over the world are looking forward to it.
春日若宮おん祭 (春日大社)
平安末期の保延2年(1136年)に、関白藤原忠通が五穀豊穣を祈って始めた祭りといわれています。
国の平安を祈念する祭典が厳粛に行われ、続いて夜遅くまで数多くの神事芸能が奉納されます。12月中旬に開催予定。
Kasuga Wakamiya On Festival (Kasuga Taisha Shrine)
It is said that the festival was started in 1136 by Sekishiro Fujiwara, praying for good harvest.
A festival to pray for the peace of the country is held solemnly, and many entertainments are dedicated until late at night.
