Carlie Gillis is a 2nd year East Asian Language Studies Major. Learning a foreign language was always one of her goals and Japanese and Chinese stood out because of the beautiful writing systems. She hopes to one day do an international exchange to Japan or China to visit historical landmarks and be immersed in the language. This will further her goal of becoming a translator.
