That is a pretty lousy title. Since all I have now is Poser 9 but not installed since I don't have a way of getting the update, I been looking a some old zip files that I

have for Poser. They have cr2 files, geometry files, runtime files, texture files, etc. I know that Daz Studio has a place for Poser content but I do not know how to

get all these files into Daz Studio.

You are correct and do to my lack of knowledge I used the wrong file extension. That was the extension in the "pose" file. The Village People are called Bible 3d.pzs. I read a post by you today at on this topic from sometime back helping someone with this problem but don't think they ever got it to work. It could be the person was not understanding all the steps. But I totally understand. What is the best way to load the libraries poser files in the lastest Daz studio? I have tried the putting the runtime folder in the Daz runtime but never can fine that it worked. IThen I spend allot of time tring to find the product in Daz but it is not to be found. Are there two runtime folders one for Daz and another in Daz for Poser runtimes? I have never really needed to do this before so it this process is new to me. .

The Runtime from the zip needs to be merged with the existing Runtime in you content directory (e.g. the My Library folder), after which the files can be accessed via the Content Library pane in DS under Poser Formats>Content directory used>

To do that, open DS and go to Edit > Preferences, open Content tab then select Content library manager at the bottom of that tab. This will open the screen where you can configure where DS content libraries are located.

Then go to the Content Library pane (not Smart Content, which displays only content with metadata). If it's not open, use Window > Panes menu to open it. You should have an entry for "Poser Formats" at the top of the hierarchy, with the folder containing your Poser runtime listed there.

Thanks for the help, I read Richard's reply then tried it and I went into my C drive and then programs both 32 and 64 bit and found the Daz 3d and opened every file that I could. Yes I spend about an hour and ahalf and I never did find a content folder or library folder. I even checked the Daz 3D in my Documents but still nothing. I then read the Daz help manual and they give about four or five places to look and one was the script folder but still no content folder or library folder. I just downloaded or updated Daz yesterday. This is getting a little frustrating as I used to be able to find the content library folder in the past. Don't have a clue what I am doing wrong. The idea of creating a new folder as suggested will be the best way to go at this time. I will give it a try today. Thanks

I did some more checking and the only runtime files I could find via a search was in my computer under my user name then Document\Daz 3D\Studio\My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud Then I get a bunch of files with number each containing a runtime. In order to follow the steps I was given I at least need to find "the poser content diretories in DS." I will keep working on this and in the meantime hopfully someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.

If you only installed content via Connect you may not have any other Runtime directory outside the Connect folder right now. In this case you simply need to decide on a folder where you will install your poser content from now on (for example "My Library" in Documents), put your poser Runtime directly in that folder and make sure this folder is listed under Poser formats in DS. Next time you install a Poser product you will merge its Runtime with this one.

I looked in my user documents and this is my tree sturcture - Users\Allen\Documents\Daz 3D\Studio\My Daz Connect Library\data\cloud\ after this I get about 30 folders or more with numbers each number folder contains "data folder, figures folder and a runtime folder. What I am thinking that all my content has been asigned numbers. Should I install my folders here?

No, this folder is only for content installed with Connect. Connect installs each product in a separate subfolder labelled with the product ID from the store (sku), and there's a mechanism in DS to display them together based on the list of products it installed. If you put content manually there it won't work, you need to put it outside "My Daz Connect Library".

Runtime folder is the base folder for poser file structure. It contains technical folders for textures, geometry, and so on, and a "libraries" folder with the folders corresponding to the various figures, poses, props.. libraries from Poser.

When you register a folder under "poser formats", DS will look for a Runtime folder in it, recognize the Runtime as the base for poser library and ignore all other folders at the same level, considering they don't contain Poser content. It will then interpret the runtime structure to display your poser content correctly in the content library pane, for example hiding the technical folders and only diplaying the actual poser library files like cr2, pz2 and pp2.

If you are using Windows dragging a second or more runtiem into the My Library folder should merge them, so you end up with the contents of both. Macs are a bit trickier, but from your path it looks like you are using Windows.

Poser is a 3D computer graphics program optimized for 3D modeling of human figures. It is known for enabling digital artists to easily produce 3D animations and digital images, as well as the extensive availability of third-party digital content.

As mentioned previously, one prominent change is how we deliver the content, which has also resulted in a smaller installer. Poser has always included a big library of content, and including the entire library was easy when the software was delivered on disks or USB drives, but now that the software is delivered through the internet, we have split the content library into content packs, so users can download the content they need. The content packs are downloaded directly from a Purchases tab found in the Poser Library pane.

As we have mentioned in the past, Poser 13 features a new version of the SuperFly renderer, based on Cycles X. This renderer provides faster render times and better render quality. To take full advantage of the new SuperFly, we have been working hard to update our content materials. This includes updates to all modern Poser figures and the HiveWire Dawn and Dusk figures.

Poser 12's library system now includes automatic installation of included and purchased content. This means you can easily install the bonus content that is included when you purchase a Poser 12 license as well as content purchased from the Renderosity Marketplace.

Go into Poser Library and select "Purchases." This shows all your purchased content. Select "Included" or "Renderosity." When you select "Renderosity" the first time, you will be required to log into your account.

If there is a templates ZIP in the product, it will give an error messages. That is because Templates are an image file and not a Poser file. It did install the content. The template isn't needed for the content to work.

Poser 12 users can still install everything manually as they did before. The automatic install places content in a set folder, but users can still install all their content in whatever runtime they choose by downloading and installing the ZIP file.

This means you can install included content from Poser and other accounts through File>Install from ZIP. This will ask you where the content should be installed, you select the folder where you want it to go and it will install it to the selected folder.

Poser allows you to import and export various types of content such as background images, movies, and 3D objects. This allows you to use third-party applications to create textures, background scenes, and clothing that you can use to enhance your scenes.

When you purchase Poser content, it is frequently arranged in the appropriate Runtime subfolders for you, and is packaged in ZIP file format. The File > Install from Zip Archive command allows you to unzip content from a ZIP archive. The dialog prompts you to choose any library that is currently configured in your library preferences, including external libraries. You also have the option to specify a folder that is not yet configured.

The Poser installer has the option to uninstall the Poser app and associated files but it doesn't completely remove 3rd party plugins or other add-ons in the Poser root directory nor does it remove the main Poser content directory. This safeguards the user who are updating to a newer build revision/update without losing their plugins, add-ons or content. If you want to achieve the most complete uninstall there are a some things to achieve this:

1. On Windows, open up Programs/Programs and Features Uninstall a program from the Control Panel. Locate Poser and uninstall.

2. Once the uninstall is complete, open File Explorer and enter this path in the address bar.

6. There might be 3rd party or downloaded content files left there. You might just want to move the folder to a different location like your desktop if you want to keep those files or just delete the Poser 11 content folder.

8. OPTIONAL: In your system Downloads folder there may be folders named PoserSoftware or Renderosity. These folders containing downloaded content zip files these will be content you've purchased for either of these stores. be457b7860
