Barsey Retreat Homestay is an experiential retreat nestled in breath taking surroundings of Hattaban Village, near Barsey Rhodendron Sanctuary West Sikkim. It is one of the last virgin expanses of wilderness in the Himalayas. Remote yet reachable, the retreat offers you the rarest of luxuries, that of time and of space, and the enviable opportunity to disconnect in order to connect deeply.

It’s a peaceful retreat away from noise and pollution where you wake up to beautiful sunrise that can be witnessed from the window of your room. There are well-furnished 5 (five) luxury rooms in the homestay, each with modern attached bathrooms. The rooms have wooden ceilings and trim exquisitely decorated with traditional stuff and the warm wooden interior that keeps the chill out. It is run by traditional Sherpa family. In spite of all modern facilities, the rich Sherpa culture is kept intact so that the guest can enjoy and exchange the cultural values.

We offer fixed menu of freshly prepared Local, Indian and Continental food (both Veg / Non  Veg) at our designated dining area. And depending on the weather we can serve outdoors or in the patio.

We have fixed well thought menu but if you have any special needs, please feel free to ask us. We will try our best to fulfill it.

There is so much to do around the homestay, you can go for local sightseeing activities, birdwatching, Village walk, Short trek to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary and lots more. Or, if you are so inclined, you can just relax and laze around, or meditate and do yoga. The tranquility and peaceful environment of this place is fabulously nourishing to the soul. Tariff

If the number of person is more then 3 pax the rate will be Rs. 1000/- per person per day and, If the number of person is below 3 pax the the rate will be Rs. 1300/- per person per day.

The abobe mentioned cost includes Lunch, Dinner and Morning Breakfast and two time Tea.
