I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Economics at Johns Hopkins University and a Research Economist, currently on leave, from the International Economic Relations Department at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye. Prior to this role, I served as a Researcher in the Structural Economic Research Department. 

My research draws on large-scale microdata on firms, banks, and individuals to address important questions in macroeconomics and finance and to generate policy-relevant insights.I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Sabancı University and hold a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, from Middle East Technical University.

My primary research interests are Macroeconomics, Applied Econometrics, Monetary Policy, and Banking. In particular, I study how economic agents form inflation expectations, how these expectations shape firm behavior and economic outcomes, and how institutions and public policies affect credit-market outcomes for banks and firms. My secondary research interests include Firm Dynamics and Financial Economics.
