The Okanagan Zone Ski Team (OZST) just returned from a super successful trip to the Kootenays, taking part in the Dreadnaught Speed Camp and FIS series at Kimberley Alpine Resort. Over the course of 10 days, our athletes trained and raced down the Dreadnaught track, gaining valuable time on speed skis. The 3-day speed camp helped us build confidence and push our limits as we prepared for the races. The whole crew went hard and had a blast on their DH skis. After the camp, we spent two days on official training, followed by the famous night slalom on Main. Athletes fought through the challenging cold and dark conditions and came away with a few good results. After a day off to rest up, the speed races officially started. 2 days on a tricky track with a great surface, followed by 2 SG races in mixed conditions as temperatures started to rise.
