1) Fostering intercultural communication competence, 2) developing English language skills for international communication, and 3) promoting interpersonal skills of tertiary pre-service teachers of English from Universidade Federal de Lavras (Brazil) and Çukurova Üniversitesi in Adana (Turkey)
The Online Intercultural Exchange consists of a series of activities that allow participants to become connected with foreign culture friends in order to strengthen fraternal and amicable ties among them.
Tasks activities are setup each week and are set up for synchronous and asynchronous ways.
The synchronous activities are class webcam encounters, where participants from both countries can share thoughts, feelings, and cultural expressions in a set of pre-determined tasks. Oral comprehension and oral production in English can be promoted in this exchange modality.
The asynchronous activities allow participants to express themselves and serve as a point of departure for other types of virtual communication and interaction. Blogger post entries and comments constitute the reading/writing communicative tool for the exchange interconnectivity.

Before Encounter

Medidate in what you want to share with your foreign peers

Participate in a webcam-based meeting withy foreign peers (in main /breakout rooms) led by hosts

The exchange is a 10-week project. Additionally, there are three important activities during week -1, and week 11
