Professor Oh’s lab focuses on investigating the intricate functions of skin cells and deciphering the underlying mechanisms responsible for pigmentary disorders. Dr. Oh's lab is interested in researching vitiligo, an autoimmune disorder representing hypopigmentary conditions among various pigmentary disorders. Additionally, we are interested in studying hyperpigmentary conditions associated with aging and ultraviolet radiation, namely solar lentigo and melasma. Through a combination of molecular and clinical research approaches, the lab aims to unravel the pathogenesis of pigment diseases, with the ultimate goal of developing effective prevention and treatment strategies.
