There is a long tradition of debate in American school and university culture. This project will teach us how to shape our arguments in a convincing way and how to present ourselves professionally for effective debates. We will work on our speaking skills, argumentation, vocabulary, presenting ourselves and civil debate behavior.

Anforderungen an die Teilnehmer:

This offer takes place in American English. The teacher is a former high school debate champion from the United States and teaches academic English at the University of Stuttgart. No knowledge of debate is necessary in order to participate. This will be an interactive project where we can all learn together! This is a great way to improve your speaking skills and prepare for future presentations in English or even the Abitur.
